This patch adds platform driver support for Synopsys UDC. A new driver file (snps_udc_plat.c) is created for this purpose where the platform driver registration is done based on OF node. Currently, UDC integrated into Broadcom's iProc SoCs (Northstar2 and Cygnus) work with this driver. New members are added to the UDC data structure for having platform device support along with extcon and phy support. Kconfig and Makefiles are modified to select platform driver for compilation. This patch splits the amd5536udc driver into two -- one that does pci device registration and the other file that does the rest of the driver tasks like the gadget/ep ops etc for Synopsys UDC. This way of splitting helps in exporting core driver symbols which can be used by any other platform/pci driver that is written for the same Synopsys USB device controller. The current patch also includes a change in the Kconfig and Makefile. A new config option USB_SNP_CORE will be selected automatically when any one of the platform or pci driver for the same UDC is selected. Main changes: - amd5536udc_pci.c: PCI device registration is moved to this file. - amd5536udc.c: This file does rest of the core UDC fucntionality. 9 symbols are exported so as to be used by amd5536udc_pci.c. Module parameter definitions are moved to header file. - amd5536udc.h: Function declarations, module parameters definitions and few common header file includes are added to this file - Kconfig: New USB_SNP_CORE option is added which will be auto selected when any pci or platform driver config option for the UDC is chosen. - Makefile: Compiles the core and pci files separately. This patch updates the usb endpoint allocation scheme for atmel usba driver to make sure all endpoints are allocated in order. This requirement comes from the datasheet of the controller. The allocation scheme is decided by fifo_mode parameter. For fifo_mode = 0 the driver tries to autoconfigure the endpoints fifo size. All other modes contain fixed configurations optimized for different purposes. The idea is somehow similar with the approach used on musb driver. The USB_FSL_MPH_DR_OF symbol is used to ensure the code that interprets the DR device node is built whenever one of the two drivers (EHCI or UDC) for the platform is enabled. However, if CONFIG_USB is disabled and we only support gadget mode, this causes a Kconfig warning: warning: (USB_FSL_USB2) selects USB_FSL_MPH_DR_OF which has unmet direct dependencies (USB_SUPPORT && USB) We can avoid this warning by simply no longer using the symbol, and making sure we enter the drivers/usb/host/ directory when the UDC driver is enabled that needs the file, and then we use Makefile syntax to ensure the file is built-in if needed. There is currently a dependency on CONFIG_OF, but this is redundant, as we already know that this is set unconditionally for the platforms that use this driver. This patch adds support for the PLX USB3380 and USB3382. This driver is based on the driver from the manufacturer. Since USB338X is register compatible with NET2280, I thought that it would be better to include this hardware into net2280 driver. Manufacturer's driver only supported the USB33X, did not follow the Kernel Style and contain some trivial errors. This patch has tried to address this issues. This patch has only been tested on USB338x hardware, but the merge has been done trying to not affect the behaviour of NET2280. The dependency on the isp1301 driver is not something that should be in the main OHCI driver but rather the SoC specific part of it. This moves the dependency for LPC32xx into USB_OHCI_HCD_LPC32XX, and changes the 'select ISP1301_OMAP' to a similar 'depends on'. Moves the s3c-hsotg driver into the dwc2 directory and uses the dwc2 defines in hw.h. Renames s3c-hsotg.c to gadget.c. NOTE: You can build both host and peripheral as a dynamically linked module, but be aware that if you insmod dwc2_gadget, then rmmod it, then insmod dwc2 and dwc2_platform for host mode, this will not work. As the step to rmmod dwc2_gadget.ko will turn off the clock to the USB IP. The dwc2 host driver currently does not look to turn on a clock yet. A patch to fix that will be coming soon.
