This is a tweak which has been shown to improve performance when moving away from the AP while working in 80Mhz. When RS decides to go down to 80MHz SISO MCS0 instead switch to 20MHz MCS4. ToF is a time based method for measurement of the WiFi device location within a WiFi environment. The driver functionality provided by this patch is the interface for communication with FW and receiving location related updates from the FW. The interface provided by this patch is via debugfs. Repeating the legacy rates avoids degrading quickly to lower rates due to collisions which is common when doing TCP Tx traffic in legacy. This slightly improves TCP Tx throughput while working in legacy in different scenarios. The TTC and RRC features are supported by the newer firmwares. It allows to reach better overall WiFi and BT performance. When the RRC is enabled, we don't need to force the AP to send SISO frames, but it can keeps sending MIMO frames. The MVM_FW_BCAST_FILTER_PASS_ALL option defined in iwl-dbg-cfg.ini configuration file allows to enable/disable FW broadcast filtering. If MVM_FW_BCAST_FILTER_PASS_ALL is not defined in iwl-dbg-cfg.ini or its value is 0, the mvm broadcast filtering is enabled. Setting MVM_FW_BCAST_FILTER_PASS_ALL=1 in iwl-dbg-cfg.ini blocks sending of BCAST_FILTER_CMD to FW. The current TLC isn't optimized for low latency and some devices have issues with MIMO. This kind of combo creates latency issues. Allow to temporarily disable MIMO for tests in order to solve the latency issues without the added complexity of MIMO. Improve the initial tx rate and antenna selection to be based on the rssi of the last rx. This avoids starting at the lowest legacy rate always and requiring more tx traffic to "climb" up the rates. Since this option might cause trouble in certain setups, allow to disable it by default. When updating quota in the firmware, it has to reset quite a bit of internal state, which apparently can have an adverse impact on its operation. Avoid that by only updating the quota command when there are any signification changes, i.e. added/removed bindings or changes in quota that are bigger than 8 TU within a binding. In order to debug the firmware, we need to be able to set the BT priority of WiFi packets. This priority is set based on the type of the packet (control frames, EAPOL etc...). For debugging purposes, allow to override this priority by a debugfs controlled value. Enable this feature that needs this priority to be able to test it. 7265 features a new calibration which is called antenna coupling. The purpose of this calibration (which isn't really a calibration), is to measure the isolation between the antennas and that can give us useful information for the Coex modules. With this information, we can tune the LookUpTables (LUTs) that define the BT / WiFi contention policy. The LUTs currently contain dummy values - but they will be updated soon. While at it, change the current code to stop duplicate the host command while sending. This was needed back then, when the command was short enough to be allocated on the stack. The Sync to SCO is a feature that allows to synchronize between the WiFi traffic and the expectable BT traffic when SCO profile is active. We need to set the validity bit in the command in the init flow, and set / clear the enablement bit if we want to enabled / disable the feature. While at it, clean up the flags that are not used in the API. This feature needs to be enabled / disabled easily, so export its enablement to constants.h. Limit the scheduling duration of bindings without a low-latency interface in the firmware, this prevents those bindings from occupying the medium for a period of time longer than what we want for the other interfaces in low-latency mode. As older firmware doesn't do anything with the max_duration field and ignores it completely, there's no need for a firmware flag. If there is/are interface(s) in low-latency mode, reserve a percentage (currently 64%) of the quota for that binding to improve the quality of service for those interfaces. However, if there's more than one binding that has low-latency, then give up and don't reserve, we can't allocate more than 100%. The Performance Based Window snooze mechanism is based on uAPSD and is used in low-medium traffic scenarios, in order to provide better power performance while insuring low latency and jitter for the incoming traffic. This patch enables PBW snoozing in case uAPSD is enabled and all ACs are uAPSD trigger and delivery enabled. The EEPROM reading/parsing code is all mixed in the driver today, and the EEPROM is parsed only when we access data from it. This is problematic because the NVM needs to be parsed and that is independent of reading it. Also, the NVM format for new devices will be different and probably require a new parser. Therefore refactor the reading and parsing and create two independent components. Reading the EEPROM requires direct hardware accesses and therefore access to the transport, but parsing is independent and can be done on an NVM blob. This makes handling the calibration data more generic and no longer requires updating IWL_CALIB_MAX when a new uCode comes with more calibration packets. Since we just copy the data back, there's also no need for understanding which calibration we received -- we can just reflect it back to the runtime uCode.
