This untangles the final bits of the prcmu code from the platform code: * The IRQ_PRCMU_* definitions move from irqs-db8500.h into prcmu.c because they are only of local significance. * u8500_thsens_device goes into the prcmu, because it uses a PRCMU IRQ that the platform does not see. * IRQ_DB8500_AB8500 and IRQ_PRCMU_BASE go into the platform data because the PRCMU does not see it. When trying to get rid of the cross-includes of <mach/id.h> from different drivers, so we can localize ASIC/CPU detection to the mach-ux500 folder, we run into the way the PRCMU handles base addresses and firmware detection. This patch updates the firmware version detection to pass the required information as platform data instead of relying on cpu_is_* macros. Now the PRCMU base address, the secondary TCDM area, the TCPM area and the IRQ are passed as resources instead of being grabbed from <mach/*> files. Incidentally this also removes part of the reliance on <mach/irqs.h>. Further it updates the firmware version detection, since the location of the firmware ID bytes in the designated memory are is now passed from the platform data instead. There is no reason not to include the nice split-off of a struct to hold the firmware information and a separate function to populate it. The patch actually rids the need to use the external db8500_prcmu_early_init call at all, but I'm keepin back that removal as I don't want the patch to be too big. AB8500 GPIO no longer handles its GPIO IRQs. Instead, the AB8500 core driver has taken back the responsibility. Prior to this happening, the AB8500 GPIO driver provided a set of virtual IRQs which were used as a pass-through. These virtual IRQs had a base of MOP500_AB8500_VIR_GPIO_IRQ_BASE, which was passed though pdata. We don't need to do this anymore, so we're pulling out the property from the structure. The LP55xx common driver provides a new header, leds-lp55xx.h. This driver enables removing duplicate code for both drivers and making coherent driver structure. LP5521 and LP5523/55231 platform data were merged into one common file. Therefore, the LP5521/5523 platform code need to be fixed. This patch has been already acked. Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. To aid the kernel in its effort to move to DT only booting, we're transplanting all Device Tree related code to cpu-db8500 which will remain persistent throughout the transition. This change paths the way for complete removal of board-mop500, which will be done once the all DMA settings are moved into the respective DT source files. An earlier change prevented User Interface Boards (UIBs) from being initialised on boards which did not support them. This change had the undesired effect of reordering the UIB initialisation calls with I2C registration. Here we ensure UIBs are only setup after all required infrastructure is already in place. The 'msp' board file does more than just register MSP devices. It also registers some other components necessary to get audio working on ux500 based platforms; such as the PCM and Machine Drivers. For that reason we're changing the filename to be more encompassing - 'audio'. It isn't currently possible to pass all platform specific configuration though Device Tree. Thinks like device names used in the clock infrastructure, call-backs and DMA information have to be passed in via AUXDATA structures and the MSP is no exception. Here we're passing DMA settings. We've done this before and it worked well last time. Here we're duplicating a complex registration function to ease the process of enabling it for Device Tree. As there are quite a few steps taken during the registration process, it makes sense to break them up into more manageable chunks. This patch will aid us. When booting with Device Tree we need a way to call-back to the DB8500 PMU IRQ handler. This is necessary because the two CPU IRQ lines are muxed together on the DB8500 chip. The DB8500 PMU IRQ handler contains logic to pass over to the other core in the case of IRQ_NONE. This patch allows the DB8500 PMU IRQ handler to be passed to Perf through platform data. The SMSC911x Ethernet chip requires a fixed-regulator in order to function correctly. We have previously provided a means to obtain this during a Device Tree boot, however nothing has been put into place when booting with a non-DT kernel. This patch aims to change that. This patch provides a way for find_clk() to complete its name-based searches and still find the nmk-i2c clocks. As Device Tree has a different naming structure to that of more traditional initialisation methods, find_clk() not succeed without these bindings. Now that u5500 is obsolete, u8500 is the only user of the Nomadik i2c driver. As such there is no requirement to differentiate between initialisation values. By the time a new SoC is released, almost all of the ux500 platform will be DT:ed, so we can make decisions based on the compatible property instead. Allow proper initialisation for MMC via the mmci driver for the Snowball low-cost development board using DT. At the moment we continue to use DMA setup from platform code. Once the DMA generic DT bindings have been completed we can then port the remainder over to DT. The header and driver are only used by arm/mach-u8500 (and potentially arm/mach-nomadik), but the STA2X11 I/O Hub exports on PCIe a number of devices, including i2c-nomadik. This patch allows compilation of the driver under x86. As the AB8500 is a subordinate MFD device to the DB8500-PRCMU, for consistency and a better 1:1 depiction of how the hardware is laid out, it is a good idea to register it in the same way as we do for the other MFD child devices. In order for us to do this successfully we have to pass AB8500's platform data when registering the DB8500-PRCMU from platform code.
