The sequence of _ocp_softreset doesn't work for i2c. The i2c module has a special sequence to reset the module. The sequence is - Disable the I2C. - Write to SOFTRESET bit. - Enable the I2C. - Poll on the RESETDONE bit. The sequence is implemented as a function and the i2c_class is updated with the correct 'reset' pointer. omap_hwmod_softreset function is implemented which triggers the softreset by writing into sysconfig register. On following this sequence, i2c module resets properly and timeouts are not seen. These represent the two kinds of (incompatible) OMAP I2C peripheral unit in use so far. The constants are in linux/i2c-omap.h so the omap i2c driver can have them too. As part of removing cpu_...() from the OMAP I2C driver, we need to convert the CPU tests into functionality flags that are set by hwmod class in the same way the IP revision is. More flags are needed than will fit in the existing u8 flags member of omap_i2c_dev_attr. These flags can refer to options inside the IP block but they are most needed for information about cpu implementation specific options that are not part of the IP block itself. For example, how the CPU data bus is wired to the IP block databus differs between OMAP cpus and affects how you must shift the address in the IP block, but is not a feature of the IP block itself. The commit b63128e8 broke the pin muxing for I2C busses that are enabled from the kernel command line. Fix this by defining the board registration function omap_register_i2c_bus in common platform code as it was before but keep the muxing in architecture dependent files. Otherwise we cannot limit new mux code to mach-omap2. The same signal names should eventually work for other omaps under mach-omap2. Note that these pins don't need to be OMAP_PIN_INPUT_PULLUP, just OMAP_PIN_INPUT is enough. Cc: Jarkko Nikula <jhnikula@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: NTony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

We were missing the command header in the radio and general parameters commands. This was causing them to fail, resulting in problems in the power levels and other PLT-related commands. Also reorganized the command functions, moving from wl1271_init.c to wl1271_cmd.c where it fits better. We were not handling endianess correctly. The wl1271 chip runs on little-endian values. This patch makes sure that all the communication with the wl1271 firmware is done in little-endian by using cpu_to_le* and le*_to_cpu where appropriate. Also, all the struct definitions for data exchanged with the firmware has been changed to use __le16/32 types instead of u16/32. This fixes a few sparse warnings, such as these: drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:554:42: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:555:42: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:577:58: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:579:58: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:676:18: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:787:22: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_cmd.c:789:21: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_tx.c:98:47: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_acx.c:932:32: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_boot.c:191:32: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_boot.c:197:38: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_boot.c:199:37: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_init.c:255:40: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) drivers/net/wireless/wl12xx/wl1271_init.c:275:53: warning: incorrect type in assignment (different base types) Reported-by: NJohannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: NLuciano Coelho <luciano.coelho@nokia.com> Reviewed-by: NJuuso Oikarinen <juuso.oikarinen@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: NJohn W. This driver supports the wl1271 chipset from Texas Instruments based on the WiLink(tm) 6.0 mobile platform. Support for wl1273 should be relatively easy to add. This chipset is designed for embedded devices, with good powersaving capabilities. The wl1271 chipset is the successor of wl1251 and supports the 802.11b/g/n standards, but currently this driver supports only b/g. More information about this chipset can be found here: http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/wtbu/wtbuproductcontent.tsp?templateId=6123&navigationId=12762&contentId=29993Signed-off-by: NLuciano Coelho <luciano.coelho@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: NJohn W.
