For all targets, into this new file move TARGET_LONG_BITS, TARGET_PAGE_BITS, TARGET_PHYS_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, and NB_MMU_MODES. Include this new file from exec/cpu-defs.h. This now removes the somewhat odd requirement that target/arch/cpu.h defines TARGET_LONG_BITS before including exec/cpu-defs.h, so push the bulk of the includes within target/arch/cpu.h to the top. CPUClass method dump_statistics() takes an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Most callers pass fprintf() and stderr. log_cpu_state() passes fprintf() and qemu_log_file. hmp_info_registers() passes monitor_fprintf() and the current monitor cast to FILE *. monitor_fprintf() casts it right back, and is otherwise identical to monitor_printf(). The callback gets passed around a lot, which is tiresome. The type-punning around monitor_fprintf() is ugly. Drop the callback, and call qemu_fprintf() instead. Also gets rid of the type-punning, since qemu_fprintf() takes NULL instead of the current monitor cast to FILE *. The various TARGET_cpu_list() take an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Their callers (vl.c's main() via list_cpus(), bsd-user/main.c's main(), linux-user/main.c's main()) all pass fprintf() and stdout. Thus, the flexibility provided by the (rather tiresome) indirection isn't actually used. Drop the callback, and call qemu_printf() instead. Calling printf() would also work, but would make the code unsuitable for monitor context without making it simpler. The MC68040 MMU provides the size of the access that triggers the page fault. This size is set in the Special Status Word which is written in the stack frame of the access fault exception. So we need the size in m68k_cpu_unassigned_access() and m68k_cpu_handle_mmu_fault(). To be able to do that, this patch modifies the prototype of handle_mmu_fault handler, tlb_fill() and probe_write(). do_unassigned_access() already includes a size parameter. This patch also updates handle_mmu_fault handlers and tlb_fill() of all targets (only parameter, no code change). It is a common thing amongst the various cpu reset functions want to flush the SoftMMU's TLB entries. This is done either by calling tlb_flush directly or by way of a general memset of the CPU structure (sometimes both). This moves the tlb_flush call to the common reset function and additionally ensures it is only done for the CONFIG_SOFTMMU case and when tcg is enabled. In some target cases we add an empty end_of_reset_fields structure to the target vCPU structure so have a clear end point for any memset which is resetting value in the structure before CPU_COMMON (where the TLB structures are). While this is a nice clean-up in general it is also a precursor for changes coming to cputlb for MTTCG where the clearing of entries can't be done arbitrarily across vCPUs. Currently the cpu_reset function is usually called from the context of another vCPU as the architectural power up sequence is run. By using the cputlb API functions we can ensure the right behaviour in the future. We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead. However, all our guest CPUs have that support (the only two which do not define TARGET_HAS_ICE are unicore32 and openrisc, and in both those cases the bp support is present and the lack of the #define is just a bug).
