Add platform-specific callback functions for interrupts. This is needed to do a single read-clear of the CAUSE register and then call out to platform specific functions for DB threshold interrupts and DB drop interrupts. Add t4_mem_win_read_len() - mem-window reads for arbitrary lengths. This is used to read the CIDX/PIDX values from EC contexts during DB drop recovery. Add t4_fwaddrspace_write() - sends addrspace write cmds to the fw. Needed to flush the sge eq context cache. Many users of debugfs copy the implementation of default_open() when they want to support a custom read/write function op. This leads to a proliferation of the default_open() implementation across the entire tree. Now that the common implementation has been consolidated into libfs we can replace all the users of this function with simple_open(). This replacement was done with the following semantic patch: <smpl> @ open @ identifier open_f != simple_open; identifier i, f; @@ -int open_f(struct inode *i, struct file *f) -{ ( -if (i->i_private) -f->private_data = i->i_private; | -f->private_data = i->i_private; ) -return 0; -} @ has_open depends on open @ identifier fops; identifier open.open_f; @@ struct file_operations fops = { ... -.open = open_f, +.open = simple_open, ... }; </smpl> [akpm@linux-foundation.org: checkpatch fixes] Signed-off-by: NStephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org> Cc: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org> Cc: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Cc: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Acked-by: NIngo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Signed-off-by: NAndrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: NLinus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. (Thanks to Joe Perches for suggesting coccinelle for 0/1 -> true/false). Cc: "David S. All drivers that support modification of the RX flow hash indirection table initialise it in the same way: RX rings are assigned to table entries in rotation. Make that default policy explicit by having them call a ethtool_rxfh_indir_default() function. In the ethtool core, add support for a zero size value for ETHTOOL_SRXFHINDIR, which resets the table to this default. Add a new ethtool operation (get_rxfh_indir_size) to get the indirectional table size. Use this to validate the user buffer size before calling get_rxfh_indir or set_rxfh_indir. Use get_rxnfc to get the number of RX rings, and validate the contents of the new indirection table before calling set_rxfh_indir. Remove this validation from drivers. Given we dont use anymore the struct net_device *dev argument, and this interface brings litle benefit, remove netdev_{alloc|free}_page(), to debloat include/linux/skbuff.h a bit. For some reason three #include <linux/...> are buried way down in the file. Since the inclusion of module.h is one of them, the inclusion comes after use of EXPORT_SYMBOL which will cause warnings about implicit declarations. Relocate all the headers to the top. Correct the description of ethtool_rxnfc::rule_locs; it is an array of currently used locations, not all possible valid locations. Add note that drivers must not use ethtool_rxnfc::rule_locs. The rule_locs argument to ethtool_ops::get_rxnfc is either NULL or a pointer to an array of u32, so change the parameter type accordingly.
