Bosch C_CAN controller is a full-CAN implementation which is compliant to CAN protocol version 2.0 part A and B. Bosch C_CAN user manual can be obtained from: http://www.semiconductors.bosch.de/media/en/pdf/ipmodules_1/c_can/users_manual_c_can.pdf This patch adds the support for this controller. The following are the design choices made while writing the controller driver: 1. Interface Register set IF1 has be used only in the current design. 2. Out of the 32 Message objects available, 16 are kept aside for RX purposes and the rest for TX purposes. 3. NAPI implementation is such that both the TX and RX paths function in polling mode. This patch adds support for serial/USB-serial CAN adapters implementing the LAWICEL ASCII protocol for CAN frame transport over serial lines. The driver implements the SLCAN line discipline and is heavily based on the slip.c driver. Therefore the code style remains similar to slip.c to be able to apply changes of the SLIP driver to the SLCAN driver easily. For more details see the slcan Kconfig entry. This core is found on some Freescale SoCs and also some Coldfire SoCs. Support for Coldfire is missing though at the moment as they have an older revision of the core which does not have RX FIFO support. In 2.6.32-rc the new EMS USB CAN driver was contributed and added the Kconfig entry right behind an entry of the same *vendor*. This teared the SJA1000 based driver selection into pieces. This fix cleans up the 2.6.32-rc Kconfig files for the CAN drivers and moves the SJA1000 and USB Kconfig portions into the belonging directories. As there are many new CAN drivers in the queue getting this cleanup into 2.6.32-rc would massively reduce the problems for the upcoming drivers. This patch adds support for legacy SJA1000 CAN controllers on the ISA or PC-104 bus. The I/O port or memory address and the IRQ number must be specified via module parameters: insmod sja1000_isa.ko port=0x310,0x380 irq=7,11 for ISA devices using I/O ports or: insmod sja1000_isa.ko mem=0xd1000,0xd1000 irq=7,11 for memory mapped ISA devices. The CAN network device driver interface provides a generic interface to setup, configure and monitor CAN network devices. It exports a set of common data structures and functions, which all real CAN network device drivers should use. Please have a look to the SJA1000 or MSCAN driver to understand how to use them. The name of the module is can-dev.ko. Furthermore, it adds a Netlink interface allowing to configure the CAN device using the program "ip" from the iproute2 utility suite.
