The website currently supports math in three ways

$$ math $$
`$ math $`

This is going to confuse our developers as there are too many ways to write things. We should have a more consistent way to write math functions.

In this PR, we want to remove the following pattern from book repo. This is the only document that is still using this pattern. After that, the website can stop supporting this pattern all together.
