Apart from public and internal header files, there is a third type called local header files, which are located next to source files in the source directory. Currently, they have different suffixes like '*_lcl.h', '*_local.h', or '*_int.h' This commit changes the different suffixes to '*_local.h' uniformly. Most of the accessors existed and were already used so it was easy. TS_VERIFY_CTX didn't have accessors/settors so I added the simple and obvious ones, and changed the app to use them. Also, within crypto/ts, replaced the functions with direct access to the structure members since we generally aren't opaque within a directory. Also fix RT3901. For a local variable: TYPE *p; Allocations like this are "risky": p = OPENSSL_malloc(sizeof(TYPE)); if the type of p changes, and the malloc call isn't updated, you could get memory corruption. Instead do this: p = OPENSSL_malloc(sizeof(*p)); Also fixed a few memset() calls that I noticed while doing this. Reviewed-by: NRichard Levitte <levitte@openssl.org>

sure they are available in opensslconf.h, by giving them names starting with "OPENSSL_" to avoid conflicts with other packages and by making sure e_os2.h will cover all platform-specific cases together with opensslconf.h. I've checked fairly well that nothing breaks with this (apart from external software that will adapt if they have used something like NO_KRB5), but I can't guarantee it completely, so a review of this change would be a good thing.

GeneralizedTime. At several points PKIX specifies that GeneralizedTime can be used but OpenSSL doesn't currently support it. This patch adds several files and a bunch of functions. Of interest is the ASN1_TIME structure and its related functions. At several points certificates, CRLs et al specify that a time can be expressed as a choice of UTCTime and GeneralizedTime. Currently OpenSSL interprets this (wrongly) as UTCTime because GeneralizedTime isn't supported. The ASN1_TIME stuff provides this functionality. Still todo is to trace which cert and CRL points need an ASN1_TIME and modify the utilities appropriately and of course fix all the bugs. Note new OpenSSL copyright in the new file a_time.c. I didn't put it in a_gentm.c because it is a minimally modified form a_utctm.c . Since this adds new files and error codes you will need to do a 'make errors' at the top level to add the new codes.
