The powerpc specific st_le*() and ld_le*() functions in arch/powerpc/asm/swab.h no longer have any users. They are also misleadingly named, since they always byteswap, even on a little-endian host. This patch removes them. Signed-off-by: NDavid Gibson <david@gibson.dropbear.id.au> Signed-off-by: NBenjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>

The generic code uses gcc built-ins which work fine so there's no benefit in implementing our own anymore. We can't completely remove the ld/st_le* functions as some historical cruft still uses them, but that's next on the radar Signed-off-by: NBenjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>

from include/asm-powerpc. This is the result of a mkdir arch/powerpc/include/asm git mv include/asm-powerpc/* arch/powerpc/include/asm Followed by a few documentation/comment fixups and a couple of places where <asm-powepc/...> was being used explicitly. Of the latter only one was outside the arch code and it is a driver only built for powerpc. Signed-off-by: NStephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Signed-off-by: NPaul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

powerpc: Merge byteorder.h Essentially adopts the 64-bit version of this file. The 32-bit version had been using unsigned ints for arguments/return values that were actually only 16 bits - the new file uses __u16 for these items as in the 64-bit version of the header. The order of some of the asm constraints in the 64-bit version was slightly different than the 32-bit version, but they produce identical code. This patch cleans up asm-ppc64/byteorder.h to enable ___arch__swab16 and ___arch__swab32 which are marked TODO currently. It removes ___arch__swab64 because ppc64 does not have short instruction combinations for swab64, the recent gcc generates enough smart code that is equivalent to hand assembled code under my tests. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
