On 4xx CPUs, the current implementation of flush_tlb_page() uses a low level _tlbie() assembly function that only works for the current PID. Thus, invalidations caused by, for example, a COW fault triggered by get_user_pages() from a different context will not work properly, causing among other things, gdb breakpoints to fail. This patch adds a "pid" argument to _tlbie() on 4xx processors, and uses it to flush entries in the right context. FSL BookE also gets the argument but it seems they don't need it (their tlbivax form ignores the PID when invalidating according to the document I have). Lifted from http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8182 Steps to reproduce: - Boot an Ocotea board with the mainline 2.6.20.1 kernel. - Create an /etc/ntp.conf file with at least one NTP server and iburst mode set. - Issue the command "ntpd -g". - Wait about two minutes. - Verify ntpd's status via "ntpq -pn" and by looking in /var/log/ntp. This fixes this problem by adjusting the expected clock frequency. This patch adds workaround for PPC 440GX erratum 440_43. According to this erratum spurious MachineChecks (caused by L1 cache parity) can happen during DataTLB miss processing. We disable L1 cache parity checking for 440GX rev.C and rev.F Signed-off-by: NEugene Surovegin <ebs@ebshome.net> Signed-off-by: NPaul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

Fix 44x early serial debugging for big RAM configurations (more than 512M). We cannot use default OpenBIOS virtual mapping, because it interferes with pinned TLB entry. While we are at it, move early UART mapping to TLB slot 0, so it can survive longer during boot process (slot 1 is used by the first ioremap call, effectively killing UART mapping if it occupies this slot). Also, change UART TLB entry size to 4K (256M is too much for a bunch of registers :). Squash some warnings on the way. Tested on Ebony and Ocotea with 1G of RAM. Thanks to Scott Coulter <scott.coulter@cyclone.com> for diagnosing this problem. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
