On an architecture that supports 32-bit compat we need to override the
reported machine in uname with the 32-bit value.  Instead of doing this
separately in every architecture introduce a COMPAT_UTS_MACHINE define in
<asm/compat.h> and apply it directly in sys_newuname().

Add a generic implementation of the ipc demultiplexer syscall.  Except for
s390 and sparc64 all implementations of the sys_ipc are nearly identical.

There are slight differences in the types of the parameters, where mips
and powerpc as the only 64-bit architectures with sys_ipc use unsigned
long for the "third" argument as it gets casted to a pointer later, while
it traditionally is an "int" like most other paramters.  frv goes even
further and uses unsigned long for all parameters execept for "ptr" which
is a pointer type everywhere.  The change from int to unsigned long for
"third" and back to "int" for the others on frv should be fine due to the
in-register calling conventions for syscalls (we already had a similar
issue with the generic sys_ptrace), but I'd prefer to have the arch
maintainers looks over this in details.

Except for that h8300, m68k and m68knommu lack an impplementation of the
semtimedop sub call which this patch adds, and various architectures have
gets used - at least on i386 it seems superflous as the compat code on
x86-64 and ia64 doesn't even bother to implement it.

Allow an application to enable Strong Access Ordering on specific pages of
memory on Power 7 hardware. Currently, power has a weaker memory model than
x86. Implementing a stronger memory model allows an emulator to more
efficiently translate x86 code into power code, resulting in faster code
execution.

On Power 7 hardware, storing 0b1110 in the WIMG bits of the hpte enables
strong access ordering mode for the memory page.  This patchset allows a
user to specify which pages are thus enabled by passing a new protection
bit through mmap() and mprotect().  I have defined PROT_SAO to be 0x10.

This replaces the duplicated arch-specific versions of "sys_pipe()" with
one unified implementation.  This removes almost 250 lines of duplicated
code.

It's marked __weak, so that *if* an architecture wants to override the
default implementation it can do so by simply having its own replacement
version, since many architectures use alternate calling conventions for
the 'pipe()' system call for legacy reasons (ie traditional UNIX
implementations often return the two file descriptors in registers)

I still haven't changed the cris version even though Linus says the BKL
isn't needed.  The arch maintainer can easily do it if there are really
no obstacles.

None of these files use any of the functionality promised by
asm/semaphore.h.  It's possible that they rely on it dragging in some
unrelated header file, but I can't build all these files, so we'll have
fix any build failures as they come up.

Remove fs.h from mm.h. For this,
 1) Uninline vma_wants_writenotify(). It's pretty huge anyway.
 2) Add back fs.h or less bloated headers (err.h) to files that need it.

As result, on x86_64 allyesconfig, fs.h dependencies cut down from 3929 files
rebuilt down to 3444 (-12.3%).

Cross-compile tested without regressions on my two usual configs and (sigh):

powerpc currently declares some of its own system calls
in <asm/unistd.h>, but not all of them. That place also
contains remainders of the now almost unused kernel syscall
hack.

 - Add a new <asm/syscalls.h> with clean declarations
 - Include that file from every source that implements one
   of these
 - Get rid of old declarations in <asm/unistd.h>

This patch is required as a base for implementing system
calls from an SPU, but also makes sense as a general
cleanup.

ppc64 has its own version of sys_time. It looks pretty scary, touching
a whole bunch of variables without any locking or memory ordering.

In fact, a recent bugreport has shown it can actually go backwards. Time
to remove it and just use the generic sys_time, which is implemented on
top of do_gettimeofday.

The merge of syscalls.c & sys_ppc32.c (30286ef6)
broke mmap, if the mmap returned a 64 bit address.

do_mmap2 was taking the return value from do_mmap_pgoff (an unsigned long), and
storing it in an int, before returning it to sys_mmap as an unsigned long. So
we were losing the high bits of the address.

You would have thought the compiler could catch this for us ...

copy_and_flush from head_32.S for use by prom_init.c (ARCH=powerpc),
and consolidates the sys_fadvise64_64 implementations for 32-bit.

This patch fixes some bugs in the ppc64 PER_LINUX32 implementation,
noted by Juergen Kreileder:

* uname(2) doesn't respect PER_LINUX32, it returns 'ppc64' instead of 'ppc'
* Child processes of a PER_LINUX32 process don't inherit PER_LINUX32

Along the way I took the opportunity to move things around so that
sys_ppc32.c only has 32-bit syscall emulation functions and to remove
the obsolete "fakeppc" command line option.

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history,
even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git
archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about
3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early
git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good
infrastructure for it.
