If both LIBBPF and DWARF are detected, it is possible to create prologue for eBPF programs to help them access kernel data. HAVE_BPF_PROLOGUE and CONFIG_BPF_PROLOGUE are added as flags for this feature. PERF_HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET is introduced in commit 63ab024a ("perf tools: regs_query_register_offset() infrastructure"), which indicates that an architecture supports converting name of a register to its offset in 'struct pt_regs'. Without this support, BPF_PROLOGUE should be turned off. By adding libbpf into perf's Makefile, this patch enables perf to build libbpf if libelf is found and neither NO_LIBELF nor NO_LIBBPF is set. The newly introduced code is similar to how libapi and libtraceevent are wired into Makefile.perf. MANIFEST is also updated for 'make perf-*-src-pkg'. Append make_no_libbpf to tools/perf/tests/make. The 'bpf' feature check is appended into default FEATURE_TESTS and FEATURE_DISPLAY, so perf will check the API version of bpf in /path/to/kernel/include/uapi/linux/bpf.h. Which should not fail except when we are trying to port this code to an old kernel. Error messages are also updated to notify users about the lack of BPF support in 'perf record' if libelf is missing or the BPF API check failed. tools/lib/bpf is added to TAG_FOLDERS to allow us to navigate libbpf files when working on perf using tools/perf/tags. regs_query_register_offset() is a helper function which converts register name like "%rax" to offset of a register in 'struct pt_regs', which is required by BPF prologue generator. PERF_HAVE_ARCH_REGS_QUERY_REGISTER_OFFSET indicates an architecture supports converting name of a register to its offset in 'struct pt_regs'. Commit: c6e5e9fb ("perf tools: Fix building error in x86_64 when dwarf unwind is on") removed the definition of IS_X86_64 but not all places using it, with the consequence that perf-read-vdsox32 would not be built anymore, and the default lib install directory was 'lib' instead of 'lib64'. Also needs to go to v3.19. Signed-off-by: NH.J. It only contains (FEATURE_TESTS - FEATURE_DISPLAY) tests to display the rest of the checks on 'make VF=1'. But we can actually compute this list, which is less confusing. Also renaming LIB_FEATURE_TESTS into FEATURE_DISPLAY, so it reflects what this variable actually does - display its tests status to user. Commit b11db658 ("perf tools: Fix build error on ARCH=i386/x86_64/sparc64") uses sed on ARCH, which triggers a bug in sequence of sed expression, where 's/arm.*/arm/' will replace 'arm64' to 'arm', causes arm64 building failure.
