Move those files to new directory in order to be prepared to further UI work. Makefile and header file pathes are adjusted accordingly. There are unnecessary #include <ctype.h> out there, and they might cause a nasty build failure in some environment. As we already have most of ctype macros in util.h, just get rid of them. A few of exceptions are util/symbol.c which needs isupper() macro util.h doesn't provide and perl scripting support code which includes ctype.h internally. To do that we needed to stop using newtForm, as we don't want libnewt to catch the xterm resize signal. Remove some more newt calls and instead use the underlying libslang directly. In time tools/perf will use just libslang. GCC 4.6.0 in Fedora rawhide turned up some compile errors in tools/perf due to the -Werror=unused-but-set-variable flag. I've gone through and annotated some of the assignments that had side effects (ie: return value from a function) with the __used annotation, and in some cases, just removed unused code. In a few cases, we were assigning something useful, but not using it in later parts of the function. kyle@dreadnought:~/src% gcc --version gcc (GCC) 4.6.0 20110122 (Red Hat 4.6.0-0.3) Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@redhat.com> LKML-Reference: <20110124161304.GK27353@bombadil.infradead.org> Signed-off-by: NKyle McMartin <kyle@redhat.com> [ committer note: Fixed up the annotation fixes, as that code moved recently ] Signed-off-by: NArnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com>

Using %L[uxd] has issues in some architectures, like on ppc64. Fix it by making our 64 bit integers typedefs of stdint.h types and using PRI[ux]64 like, for instance, git does. Reported by Denis Kirjanov that provided a patch for one case, I went and changed all cases. They are useless and take away precious columns and lines, so stop using windows. One more step in removing newt code, that after all is not being useful at all for the coalescing TUI model in perf. This makes the usual idiom for specifying a series of key codes to exit ui_browser__run() for specialized processing (search, annotate, etc) or plain exiting the browser more compact. It also abstracts away some more libnewt operations. At some point we'll also replace NEWT_KEY_foo with something that can be mapped to NEWT or, say, gtk. Browsers don't have to deal with absolute coordinates, just using (row, column) and leaving the rest to ui_browser is better and removes one more UI backend detail from the browsers. Also shorten the percent_color setting idiom, removing some more direct libslang calls. So that the common tasks of providing a helpline at __run entry and destroying the window and releasing resourses at exit can be abstracted away, reducing a bit more the coupling with libnewt.
