It's been pointed out that output GPIOs should have an initial value, to avoid signal glitching ... among other things, it can be some time before a driver is ready. This patch corrects that oversight, fixing - documentation - platforms supporting the GPIO interface - users of that call (just one for now, others are pending) There's only one user of this call for now since most platforms are still using non-generic GPIO setup code, which in most cases already couples the initial value with its "set output mode" request. Note that most platforms are clear about the hardware letting the output value be set before the pin direction is changed, but the s3c241x docs are vague on that topic ... so those chips might not avoid the glitches. The Atmel AT91SAM9263 processor includes many more integrated peripherals than Atmel's previous ARM9-based AT91 processors, so this has necessitated a few changes to the core AT91 support. These changes are: * The system peripheral I/O region we remap has increased from 0xFFFA0000..0xFFFFFFFF to 0xFFF78000..0xFFFFFFFF. * The increased I/O region forces changes to entry-macro.S and debug-macro.S due to ARM's limited immediate offset addressing modes. * Maximum number of GPIO banks increases to 5. * 2 MMC controllers so the board-setup code needs to specify which controller it wishes to use when calling at91_add_device_mmc(). Now that Linux includes support for the Atmel AT91SAM9260 and AT91SAM9261 processors in addition to the original Atmel AT91RM9200 (with support for more AT91 processors pending), the "mach-at91rm9200" and "arch-at91rm9200" directories should be renamed to indicate their more generic nature. The following git commands should be run BEFORE applying this patch: git-mv arch/arm/mach-at91rm9200 arch/arm/mach-at91 git-mv include/asm-arm/arch-at91rm9200 include/asm-arm/arch-at91 Signed-off-by: NAndrew Victor <andrew@sanpeople.com> Signed-off-by: NRussell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

This patch makes the AT91 gpio.c support processor-generic (AT91RM9200 and AT91SAM9xxx). The GPIO controllers supported by a particular AT91 processor are defined in the processor-specific file and are registered with gpio.c at startup. This is more preparation for adding support for the new Atmel AT91SAM9 processors. Changes include: - Replace AT91_BASE_* with AT91RM9200_BASE_* - Replace AT91_ID_* with AT91RM9200_ID_* - ROM, SRAM and UHP address definitions moved to at91rm9200.h. - The raw AT91_P[ABCD]_* definitions are now depreciated in favour of the GPIO API. Patch from Andrew Victor This patch adds the core Power Management support for the AT91RM9200 processor. It will support suspend-to-RAM and standby modes. The suspend-to-RAM functionality is not 100% complete. The code that needs to be execute from the internal SRAM to restore the system is outstanding. For now we just fall through to Standby mode. The AT91-specific at91_suspend_entering_slow_clock() function will eventually be replaced by clk_must_disable() once that functionality is added to mainline clock API. Patch from David Brownell. Patch from Andrew Victor This patch adds the at91_set_multi_drive() function to enable/disable the multi-drive (open collector) pin capability on the AT91RM9200 processor. This is necessary to fix the UDC (USB Gadget) driver for the AT91RM9200 board as it will not allow the board reset line to be pulled low if the pullup is not driven as an open collector output as the boards are wired to the USB connector on both the DK/EK. This version of the patch updates it to 2.6.16-rc4. Orignal patch by Jeff Warren. Signed-off-by: NAndrew Victor <andrew@sanpeople.com> Signed-off-by: NRussell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Patch from SAN People Following changes were made to clock.c: 1) Replaced <asm/hardware/clock.h> with <linux/clk.h> 2) Removed old unused clk_enable & clk_disable. 3) Replaced clk_use/clk_unuse with clk_enable/clk_disable. Otherwise it's the same as the previous patch. Signed-off-by: NAndrew Victor <andrew@sanpeople.com> Signed-off-by: NRussell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
