      [PATCH] sanitize ->permission() prototype · e6305c43
      Al Viro 提交于
      * kill nameidata * argument; map the 3 bits in ->flags anybody cares
        about to new MAY_... ones and pass with the mask.
      * kill redundant gfs2_iop_permission()
      * sanitize ecryptfs_permission()
      * fix remaining places where ->permission() instances might barf on new
        MAY_... found in mask.

      The obvious next target in that direction is permission(9)

      folded fix for nfs_permission() breakage from Miklos Szeredi <mszeredi@suse.cz>

      [XFS] remove manual lookup from xfs_rename and simplify locking · cfa853e4
      Christoph Hellwig 提交于
      ->rename already gets the target inode passed if it exits. Pass it down to
      xfs_rename so that we can avoid looking it up again. Also simplify locking
      as the first lock section in xfs_rename can go away now: the isdir is an
      invariant over the lifetime of the inode, and new_parent and the nlink
      check are namespace topology protected by i_mutex in the VFS. The projid
      check needs to move into the second lock section anyway to not be racy.

      Also kill the now unused xfs_dir_lookup_int and remove the now-unused
      first_locked argumet to xfs_lock_inodes.

      [XFS] Fix mknod regression · bad60fdd
      Christoph Hellwig 提交于
      This was broken by my '[XFS] simplify xfs_create/mknod/symlink prototype',
      which assigned the re-shuffled ondisk dev_t back to the rdev variable in
      xfs_vn_mknod. Because of that i_rdev is set to the ondisk dev_t instead of
      the linux dev_t later down the function.

      Fortunately the fix for it is trivial: we can just remove the assignment
      because xfs_revalidate_inode has done the proper job before unlocking the
      inode.
