It looks like megaraid_sas at least needs this to throttle its commands as they begin to time out. The code keeps the existing transport template use of eh_timed_out (and allows the transport to override the host if they both have this callback). This patch updates the FC transport for all speeds identified in SM-HBA. Note: it does not sync the "bit" definitions, as that is actually insulated from user-space via the sysfs text string. This patch simplify the way to notify LLDs of the command completion and addresses the following sense buffer problems: - can't handle both data and sense. - forces user-space to use aligned sense buffer tgt copies sense_data from userspace to cmnd->sense_buffer (if necessary), maps user-space pages (if necessary) and then calls host->transfer_response (host->transfer_data is removed). scsi tgt breaks up a command into multple scatterlists if we cannot fit all the data in one. This was because the block rq helpers did not support large requests and because we can get a command of any old size so it is hard to preallocate pages for scatterlist large enough (we cannot really preallocate pages with the bio map user path). In 2.6.20, we added large request support to the block layer helper, blk_rq_map_user. And at LSF, we talked about increasing SCSI_MAX_PHYS_SEGMENTS for scsi tgt if we want to support really really :) large (greater than 256 * PAGE_SIZE in the worst mapping case) requests. The only target currently implemented does not even support the multiple scatterlists stuff and only supports smaller requests, so this patch just coverts scsi tgt to use blk_rq_map_user. See discussion: http://www.gelato.unsw.edu.au/archives/linux-ia64/0307/6108.html The current TLB recovery code is recovering from the duplicate itr.d dropins, masking the underlying problem. IA64 and ARM-OABI are currently using their own version of epoll compat_ code. An architecture needs epoll_event translation if alignof(u64) in 32 bit mode is different from alignof(u64) in 64 bit mode. If an architecture needs epoll_event translation, it must define struct compat_epoll_event in asm/compat.h and set CONFIG_HAVE_COMPAT_EPOLL_EVENT and use compat_sys_epoll_ctl and compat_sys_epoll_wait. All 64 bit architecture should use compat_sys_epoll_pwait. The security hooks to check permissions to remove an xfrm_policy were actually done after the policy was removed. Since the unlinking and deletion are done in xfrm_policy_by* functions this moves the hooks inside those 2 functions. There we have all the information needed to do the security check and it can be done before the deletion. Since auditing requires the result of that security check err has to be passed back and forth from the xfrm_policy_by* functions. This patch also fixes a bug where a deletion that failed the security check could cause improper accounting on the xfrm_policy (xfrm_get_policy didn't have a put on the exit path for the hold taken by xfrm_policy_by*) It also fixes the return code when no policy is found in xfrm_add_pol_expire. In old code (at least back in the 2.6.18 days) err wasn't used before the return when no policy is found and so the initialization would cause err to be ENOENT. But since err has since been used above when we don't get a policy back from the xfrm_policy_by* function we would always return 0 instead of the intended ENOENT. Also fixed some white space damage in the same area. This reverts commit 39d61db0. The commit was buggy in multiple ways: - the conversion to ilog2() was incorrect to begin with - it tested the wrong #defines, so on all architectures but FRV you'd never see the bug except for constant arguments. - the new "get_order()" macro used its arguments multiple times, and didn't even parenthesize them properly - despite the comments, it was not true that you could use it for constant initializers, since not all architectures even use the generic page.h header file. All of the problems are individually fixable, but it all boils down to: better just revert it, and re-do it from scratch. The address where the ELF core header is stored is passed to the secondary kernel as a kernel command line option. The memory area for this header is also marked as a separate EFI memory descriptor on ia64. The separate EFI memory descriptor is at the moment of the type EFI_UNUSABLE_MEMORY. With such a type the secondary kernel skips over the entire memory granule (config option, 16M or 64M) when detecting memory. If we are lucky we will just lose some memory, but if we happen to have data in the same granule (such as an initramfs image), then this data will never get mapped and the kernel bombs out when trying to access it. So this is an attempt to fix this by changing the EFI memory descriptor type into EFI_LOADER_DATA. This type is the same type used for the kernel data and for initramfs. In the secondary kernel we then handle the ELF core header data the same way as we handle the initramfs image. This patch contains the kernel changes to make this happen. Pretty straightforward, we reserve the area in reserve_memory(). The address for the area comes from the kernel command line and the size comes from the specialized EFI parsing function vmcore_find_descriptor_size(). The kexec-tools-testing code for this can be found here: http://lists.osdl.org/pipermail/fastboot/2007-February/005983.htmlSigned-off-by: NMagnus Damm <magnus@valinux.co.jp> Cc: Simon Horman <horms@verge.net.au> Cc: Vivek Goyal <vgoyal@in.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: NAndrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: NTony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>

When the last thread of nfsd exits, it shuts down all related sockets. It currently uses svc_close_socket to do this, but that only is immediately effective if the socket is not SK_BUSY. If the socket is busy - i.e. if a request has arrived that has not yet been processes - svc_close_socket is not effective and the shutdown process spins. So create a new svc_force_close_socket which removes the SK_BUSY flag is set and then calls svc_close_socket. Also change some open-codes loops in svc_destroy to use list_for_each_entry_safe.
