"The main feature of interest this time is quota updates. There are
some clean ups and some patches to use the new generic lru list code.

There is still plenty of scope for some further changes in due course -
faster lookups of quota structures is very much on the todo list.
Also, a start has been made towards the more tricky issue of using the
generic lru code with glocks, but that will have to be completed in a

The other, more minor feature, is that there have been a number of

Pull perf/ftrace fix from Steven Rostedt:
"Dave Jones's trinity program was able to enable the function tracer
from a normal user account via the perf syscall "perf_event_open()".
When I was able to reproduce it with trinity, I was able to track down
        exactly how it happened.

I discovered that the check for whether the function tracepoint should
be activated or not was using the "perf_paranoid_kernel()" check which
by default, lets the user continue. The user should not by default be
        able to enable function tracing.

The fix is to use "perf_paranoid_tracepoint_raw()" which will not let
the user enable function tracing. This is a security fix as normal
users should never be allowed to enable the function tracer"

ARM64: /proc/interrupts: display IPIs of online CPUs only · 67317c26
      Sudeep KarkadaNagesha 提交于
The non-IPI interrupts are displayed only for the online cpus from
      show_interrupts in kernel/irq/proc.c before calling arch_show_interrupts().
As a result, the column headers and the IPI count don't match if any
      CPU is offline.

This patch fixes show_ipi_list to display IPIs for online CPUs only.

      This reverts commit cb26a311.

It mysteriously causes NetworkManager to not find the wireless device
for me. As far as I can tell, Tejun *meant* for this commit to not make
any semantic changes, but there clearly are some. So revert it, taking
into account some of the calling convention changes that happened in
      this area in subsequent commits.

perf/ftrace: Fix paranoid level for enabling function tracer · 12ae030d
      Steven Rostedt 提交于
The current default perf paranoid level is "1" which has
"perf_paranoid_kernel()" return false, and giving any operations that
use it, access to normal users. Unfortunately, this includes function
tracing and normal users should not be allowed to enable function
      tracing by default.

The proper level is defined at "-1" (full perf access), which
"perf_paranoid_tracepoint_raw()" will only give access to. Use that
check instead for enabling function tracing.

s390/mm,tlb: correct tlb flush on page table upgrade · 10607864
      Martin Schwidefsky 提交于
The IDTE instruction used to flush TLB entries for a specific address
space uses the address-space-control element (ASCE) to identify
affected TLB entries. The upgrade of a page table adds a new top
level page table which changes the ASCE. The TLB entries associated
with the old ASCE need to be flushed and the ASCE for the address space
needs to be replaced synchronously on all CPUs which currently use it.
The concept of a lazy ASCE update with an exception handler is broken.

      GFS2: Use generic list_lru for quota · 2147dbfd
      Steven Whitehouse 提交于
By using the generic list_lru code, we can now separate the
per sb quota list locking from the lru locking. The lru
lock is made into the inner-most lock.

As a result of this new lock order, we may occasionally see
items on the per-sb quota list which are "dead" so that the
two places where we traverse that list are updated to take
      account of that.

As a result of this patch, the gfs2 quota shrinker is now
NUMA zone aware, and we are also laying the foundations for
      further improvments in due course.

GFS2: Use reflink for quota data cache · 9b9f039d
      Steven Whitehouse 提交于
This patch adds reflink support to the quota data cache. It
looks a bit strange because we still don't have a sensible
split in the lookup by id and the lru list. That is coming in
      later patches though.

The intent here is just to swap the current ref count for
reflinks in all cases with as little as possible other change.

      ====================
I have two late fixes for the v3.12 release:

The first patch fixes a problem in the c_can's RX message handling, which can
lead to an endless interrupt loop under heavy load if messages are lost. The
second patch is by Olivier Sobrie and fixes the endpoint detection of the
