This patches implements Device IOTLB support for vhost kernel. This is done through: 1) switch to use dma helpers when map/unmap vrings from vhost codes 2) introduce a set of VhostOps to: - setting up device IOTLB request callback - processing device IOTLB request - processing device IOTLB invalidation 2) kernel support for Device IOTLB API: - allow vhost-net to query the IOMMU IOTLB entry through eventfd - enable the ability for qemu to update a specified mapping of vhost - through ioctl. - enable the ability to invalidate a specified range of iova for the device IOTLB of vhost through ioctl. In x86/intel_iommu case this is triggered through iommu memory region notifier from device IOTLB invalidation descriptor processing routine. With all the above, kernel vhost_net can co-operate with userspace IOMMU. For vhost-user, the support could be easily done on top by implementing the VhostOps. Cc: Michael S. This patch implements VHOST_USER_PROTOCOL_F_NET_MTU protocol feature and VHOST_USER_NET_SET_MTU request so that the backend gets notified of the user defined host MTU. If backend supports VHOST_USER_PROTOCOL_F_REPLY_ACK, QEMU assumes MTU is valid if success is returned. Vhost-net driver sends this request through a new vhost_net_set_mtu vhost_ops entry. Implement the new virtio sockets device for host<->guest communication using the Sockets API. Most of the work is done in a vhost kernel driver so that virtio-vsock can hook into the AF_VSOCK address family. The QEMU vhost-vsock device handles configuration and live migration while the rx/tx happens in the vhost_vsock.ko Linux kernel driver. The vsock device must be given a CID (host-wide unique address): # qemu -device vhost-vsock-pci,id=vhost-vsock-pci0,guest-cid=3 ... A new vhost user message is added to allow QEMU to ask to vhost user backend to broadcast a fake RARP after live migration for guest without GUEST_ANNOUNCE capability. This new message is sent only if the backend supports the new VHOST_USER_PROTOCOL_F_RARP protocol feature. The payload of this new message is the MAC address of the guest (not known by the backend). The MAC address is copied in the first 6 bytes of a u64 to avoid to create a new payload message type. This new message has no equivalent ioctl so a new callback is added in the userOps structure to send the request. Upon reception of this new message the vhost user backend must generate and broadcast a fake RARP request to notify the migration is terminated. Replace the generic vhost_call() by specific functions for each function call to help with type safety and changing arguments. While doing this, I found that "unsigned long long" and "uint64_t" were used interchangeably and causing compilation warnings, using uint64_t instead, as the vhost & protocol specifies.
