Ever since commit c5a00350 the libxl parser invokes the emulator to probe which device model to use. Commit b90c4b5f introduced a workaround that used a stable path which was very likely to result in the answer matching the default. However the test is still affected by the host state and the binary gets invoked if present. Mock the libxlDomainGetEmulatorType function to stop wasting CPU cycles every time a 'make check' is run on a system with xen installed. For example xlconfigtest gets faster by 90 % Signed-off-by: NJán Tomko <jtomko@redhat.com> Fixes: b90c4b5fReviewed-by: NJim Fehlig <jfehlig@suse.com>

There are a large number of different header files that are related to the sockets APIs. The virsocket.h header includes all of the relevant headers for Windows and UNIX in one convenient place. In many files there are header comments that contain an Author: statement, supposedly reflecting who originally wrote the code. In a large collaborative project like libvirt, any non-trivial file will have been modified by a large number of different contributors. IOW, the Author: comments are quickly out of date, omitting people who have made significant contribitions. In some places Author: lines have been added despite the person merely being responsible for creating the file by moving existing code out of another file. IOW, the Author: lines give an incorrect record of authorship. With this all in mind, the comments are useless as a means to identify who to talk to about code in a particular file. Contributors will always be better off using 'git log' and 'git blame' if they need to find the author of a particular bit of code. This commit thus deletes all Author: comments from the source and adds a rule to prevent them reappearing. The Copyright headers are similarly misleading and inaccurate, however, we cannot delete these as they have legal meaning, despite being largely inaccurate. In addition only the copyright holder is permitted to change their respective copyright statement. Reviewed-by: NErik Skultety <eskultet@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: NDaniel P. Yajl has not seen much activity upstream recently. Switch to using Jansson >= 2.5. All the platforms we target on https://libvirt.org/platforms.html have a version >= 2.7 listed on the sites below: https://repology.org/metapackage/jansson/versions https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/devel:libraries:c_c++/libjansson Additionally, Ubuntu 14.04 on Travis-CI has 2.5. Set the requirement to 2.5 since we don't use anything from newer versions. Implement virJSONValue{From,To}String using Jansson, delete the yajl code (and the related virJSONParser structure) and report an error if someone explicitly specifies --with-yajl. Also adjust the test data to account for Jansson's different whitespace usage for empty arrays and tune up the specfile to keep 'make rpm' working when bisecting. Firstly, this isn't supposed to be in angle brackets because it's not a system header file (not that gcc distinguishes these two, it's just guide for us developers). Secondly, no need to use util/ path prefix because CFLAGS already contain -I$(srcdir)/util. The include is needed because virmocklibxl is mocking virFileMakePath() and even when VIR_MOCK_IMPL_RET_ARGS() does forward declaration to shut up compiler we need real virFileMakePath() declaration so that when it changes compiler catches mismatching declarations. The libxl library allows a libxl_domain_config object to be serialized from/to a JSON string. Use this to allow testing of the XML to libxl_domain_config conversion process. Test XML is converted to libxl_domain_config, which is then serialized to json. A json template corresponding to the test XML is converted to a libxl_domain_config object using libxl_domain_config_from_json(), and then serialized back to json using libxl_domain_config_to_json(). The two json docs are then compared. Using libxl to convert the json template to a libxl_domain_config object and then back to json provides a simple way to account for any changes or additions to the json representation across Xen releases.
