      conf: Add/Allow parsing the auth in the disk source · 8002d3cb
      John Ferlan 提交于
      Since the virStorageAuthDefPtr auth; is a member of _virStorageSource
      it really should be allowed to be a subelement of the disk <source>
      for the RBD and iSCSI prototcols. That way we can set up to allow
      the <auth> element to be formatted within the disk source.

      Since we've allowed the <auth> to be a child of <disk>, we'll need
      to keep track of how it was read so that when writing out we'll know
      whether to format as child of <disk> or <source>. For the argv2xml
      parsing, let's format under <source> as a preference. Do not allow
      <auth> to be both a child of <disk> and <source>.

      Modify the qemuxml2argvtest to add a parse failure when there is an
      <auth> as a child of <disk> *and* an <auth> as a child of <source>.

      Add tests to validate that if the <auth> was found in <source>, then
      the resulting xml2xml and xml2arg works just fine. The two new .args
      file are exact copies of the non "-source" version of the file.

      The virschematest will read the new test files and validate from a
      RNG viewpoint things are fine

      Update the virstoragefile, virstoragetest, and args2xml file to show
      the "preference" to place <auth> as a child of <source>.

      tests: Fix syntax in iSCSI auth/secret tests · dd140028
      John Ferlan 提交于
      While working on the tests for the secret initialization vector, I found
      that the existing iSCSI tests were lacking in how they defined the IQN.
      Many had IQN's of just 'iqn.1992-01.com.example' for one disk while using
      'iqn.1992-01.com.example/1' for the second disk (same for hostdevs - guess
      how they were copied/generated).

      Typically (and documented this way), IQN's would include be of the form
      'iqn.1992-01.com.example:storage/1' indicating an IQN using "storage" for
      naming authority specific string and "/1" for the iSCSI LUN.

      So modify the input XML's to use the more proper format - this of course
      has a ripple effect on the output XML and the args.

      Also note that the "%3A" is generated by the virURIFormat/xmlSaveUri
      to represent the colon.

      qemu: Shorten per-domain directory names · a89f05ba
      Martin Kletzander 提交于
      Per-domain directories were introduced in order to be able to
      completely separate security labels for each domain (commit
      f1f68ca3).  However when the domain
      name is long (let's say a ridiculous 110 characters), we cannot
      connect to the monitor socket because on length of UNIX socket address
      is limited. In order to get around this, let's shorten it in similar
      fashion and in order to avoid conflicts, throw in an ID there as well.
      Also save that into the status XML and load the old status XMLs
      properly (to clean up after older domains). That way we can change it
      in the future.

      The shortening can be seen in qemuxml2argv tests, for example in the
      hugepages-pages2 case.

      qemu: Specify format= iff disk source is not empty · d7db33bf
      Michal Privoznik 提交于
      Just recently, qemu forbade specifying format for sourceless
      disks (qemu commit 39c4ae941ed992a3bb5). It kind of makes sense.
      If there's no file to open, why specify its format. Anyway, I
      have a domain like this:

          <disk type='file' device='cdrom'>
            <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/>
            <target dev='hda' bus='ide'/>
            <readonly/>
            <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='0'/>
          </disk>

      and obviously I am unable to start it. Therefore, a fix on our
      side is needed too.

      tests: redo test argv file line wrapping · 8afd34f2
      Daniel P. Berrange 提交于
      Back in

        commit bd6c46fa
        Author: Juerg Haefliger <juerg.haefliger@hp.com>
        Date:   Mon Jan 31 06:42:57 2011 -0500

          tests: handle backspace-newline pairs in test input files

      all the test argv files were line wrapped so that the args
      were less than 80 characters.

      The way the line wrapping was done turns out to be quite
      undesirable, because it often leaves multiple parameters
      on the same line. If we later need to add or remove
      individual parameters, then it leaves us having to redo
      line wrapping.

      This commit changes the line wrapping so that every
      single "-param value" is one its own new line. If the
      "value" is still too long, then we break on ',' or ':'
      or ' ' as needed.

      This means that when we come to add / remove parameters
      from the test files line, the patch diffs will only
      ever show a single line added/removed which will greatly
      simplify review work.

      qemuargv2xmltest: Resurrect RBD and iSCSI auth · 7712fc7c
      John Ferlan 提交于
      Ressurect the disk-drive-network-iscsi-auth and disk-drive-network-rbd-auth
      tests. Make adjustments to the args and xml file to be compatible with
      other changes made to the non "-auth" so that the only difference is the
      authentication information.

      Adjust the qemuargv2xmltest.c to filter out "<secret" and "</auth>" since
      the args -> xml has no concept of usage it doesn't get printed. This results
      in the </auth> being printed on the same line as "<secret" and the secret
      XML is not closed - a bit of an issue, but soon to be fixed.

      qemu: Set QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none with -nographic · a216e648
      Cole Robinson 提交于
      On my machine, a guest fails to boot if it has a sound card, but not
      graphical device/display is configured, because pulseaudio fails to
      initialize since it can't access $HOME.

      A workaround is removing the audio device, however on ARM boards there
      isn't any option to do that, so -nographic always fails.

      Set QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=none if no <graphics> are configured. Unfortunately
      this has massive test suite fallout.

      Add a qemu.conf parameter nographics_allow_host_audio, that if enabled
      will pass through QEMU_AUDIO_DRV from sysconfig (similar to
      vnc_allow_host_audio)

      tests: split long lines · 684c90bf
      Eric Blake 提交于
      Long lines are harder to read and harder to diff; in fact, if lines get
      too long (> 1000 bytes), it starts causing issues where git send-email
      refuses to send patches for the file. I've cleaned up the tests
      directory in the past (see commits bd6c46fa, 3b750d13), but new long
      lines have been introduced in the meantime.

      Why 90 instead of 80? Because there were too many tests on the fringe
      edge, and I didn't want to edit that many files.

      Add a syntax check to prevent future long lines.

      * cfg.mk (sc_prohibit_long_lines): New rule.
      * tests/qemuxml2argvdata/qemuxml2argv-*.args: Split lines of any
      file with content longer than 90 columns.
      * tests/storagevolxml2argvdata/*.argv: Likewise.

      qemu: pass iscsi authorization credentials · 523207fe
      Paolo Bonzini 提交于
      A better way to do this would be to use a configuration file like

         [iscsi "target-name"]
         user = name
         password = pwd

      and pass it via -readconfig. This would remove the username and password
      from the "ps" output. For now, however, keep this solution.

      qemu: add support for libiscsi · 1a308ee0
      Paolo Bonzini 提交于
      libiscsi provides a userspace iSCSI initiator.

      The main advantage over the kernel initiator is that it is very
      easy to provide different initiator names for VMs on the same host.
      Thus libiscsi supports usage of persistent reservations in the VM,
      which otherwise would only be possible with NPIV.

      libiscsi uses "iscsi" as the scheme, not "iscsi+tcp". We can change
      this in the tests (while remaining backwards-compatible manner, because
      QEMU uses TCP as the default transport for both Gluster and NBD).
