mlog_exit is used to record the exit status of a function. But because it is added in so many functions, if we enable it, the system logs get filled up quickly and cause too much I/O. So actually no one can open it for a production system or even for a test. This patch just try to remove it or change it. So: 1. if all the error paths already use mlog_errno, it is just removed. Otherwise, it will be replaced by mlog_errno. 2. if it is used to print some return value, it is replaced with mlog(0,...). mlog_exit_ptr is changed to mlog(0. All those mlog(0,...) will be replaced with trace events later. Signed-off-by: NTao Ma <boyu.mt@taobao.com>

This patch improves Ocfs2 allocation policy by allowing an inode to reserve a portion of the local alloc bitmap for itself. The reserved portion (allocation window) is advisory in that other allocation windows might steal it if the local alloc bitmap becomes full. Otherwise, the reservations are honored and guaranteed to be free. When the local alloc window is moved to a different portion of the bitmap, existing reservations are discarded. Reservation windows are represented internally by a red-black tree. Within that tree, each node represents the reservation window of one inode. An LRU of active reservations is also maintained. When new data is written, we allocate it from the inodes window. When all bits in a window are exhausted, we allocate a new one as close to the previous one as possible. Should we not find free space, an existing reservation is pulled off the LRU and cannibalized. Signed-off-by: NMark Fasheh <mfasheh@suse.com>

Constify struct sysfs_ops. This is part of the ops structure constification effort started by Arjan van de Ven et al. Benefits of this constification: * prevents modification of data that is shared (referenced) by many other structure instances at runtime * detects/prevents accidental (but not intentional) modification attempts on archs that enforce read-only kernel data at runtime * potentially better optimized code as the compiler can assume that the const data cannot be changed * the compiler/linker move const data into .rodata and therefore exclude them from false sharing Signed-off-by: NEmese Revfy <re.emese@gmail.com> Acked-by: NDavid Teigland <teigland@redhat.com> Acked-by: NMatt Domsch <Matt_Domsch@dell.com> Acked-by: NMaciej Sosnowski <maciej.sosnowski@intel.com> Acked-by: NHans J. Add some thin wrappers around ocfs2_insert_extent() for each of the 3 different btree types, ocfs2_inode_insert_extent(), ocfs2_xattr_value_insert_extent() and ocfs2_xattr_tree_insert_extent(). The last is for the xattr index btree, which will be used in a followup patch. All the old callers in file.c etc will call ocfs2_dinode_insert_extent(), while the other two handle the xattr issue. And the init of extent tree are handled by these functions. When storing xattr value which is too large, we will allocate some clusters for it and here ocfs2_extent_list and ocfs2_extent_rec will also be used. In order to re-use the b-tree operation code, a new parameter named "private" is added into ocfs2_extent_tree and it is used to indicate the root of ocfs2_exent_list. The reason is that we can't deduce the root from the buffer_head now. It may be in an inode, an ocfs2_xattr_block or even worse, in any place in an ocfs2_xattr_bucket. We don't need a "default" ktype for a kset. We should set this explicitly every time for each kset. This change is needed so that we can make ksets dynamic, and cleans up one of the odd, undocumented assumption that the kset/kobject/ktype model has. This patch is based on a lot of help from Kay Sievers. sysfs is now completely out of driver/module lifetime game. After deletion, a sysfs node doesn't access anything outside sysfs proper, so there's no reason to hold onto the attribute owners. Note that often the wrong modules were accounted for as owners leading to accessing removed modules. This patch kills now unnecessary attribute->owner. Note that with this change, userland holding a sysfs node does not prevent the backing module from being unloaded. For more info regarding lifetime rule cleanup, please read the following message. http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/510293 (tweaked by Greg to not delete the field just yet, to make it easier to merge things properly.)
