We're now starting to have quite a number of places that do skb_pull followed immediately by an skb_postpull_rcsum. We can merge these two operations into one function with skb_pull_rcsum. This makes sense since most pull operations on receive skb's need to update the checksum. I've decided to make this out-of-line since it is fairly big and the fast path where hardware checksums are enabled need to call csum_partial anyway. Since this is a brand new function we get to add an extra check on the len argument. As it is most callers of skb_pull ignore its return value which essentially means that there is no check on the len argument. The SNAP code pops off it's 5 byte header, but doesn't adjust the checksum. This would cause problems when using device that does IP over SNAP and hardware receive checksums. Signed-off-by: NStephen Hemminger <shemminger@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: NDavid S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Bonding just wants the device before the skb_bond() decapsulation occurs, so simply pass that original device into packet_type->func() as an argument. It remains to be seen whether we can use this same exact thing to get rid of skb->input_dev as well. Signed-off-by: NDavid S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
