The existing qed/qede/qedr/qedi/qedf code uses chip-specific naming in structures, functions, variables and defines in FW HSI (Hardware Software Interface). The new FW version introduced a generic naming convention in HSI in-which the same code will be used across different versions for simpler maintainability. It also eases in providing support for new features. With this patch every "_e4" or "e4_" prefix or suffix is not needed anymore and it will be removed. Current code assumes that both host and device operates in Little Endian in lots of places. While this is true for x86 platform, this doesn't mean we should not care about this. This commit addresses all parts of the code that were pointed out by sparse checker. All operations with restricted (__be*/__le*) types are now protected with explicit from/to CPU conversions, even if they're noops on common setups. This fixes a crash introduced by recent is_kdump_kernel() check. The source of the crash is that kdump kernel can be loaded on a system with already created VFs. But for such VFs, it will follow a logic path of PF and eventually crash. Thus, we are partially reverting back previous changes and instead use is_kdump_kernel is a single init point of PF init, where we disable SRIOV explicitly. There are several wide-bus registers written to by the fw_funcs that require using the dmae for atomicity. Therefore using the dmae channel functionality was added to the fw_funcs file, since the code is very similar to the previously used code, the structures used were moved to qed_hsi. Due to FW conventions, the names of the flags in the struct changed. Since this required slight modification in the places that set the flags the code was modified to use GET/SET FIELD macros. This patch modifies the dmae API to enable performing a dmae operation to another PF. This enables sharing between the llh entries between PFs and thus increasing the amount of filters per PF under certain configurations. There may be a need for VF driver to request PF to explicitly update its bulletin with a MAC address. e.g. When user assigns a MAC address to VF while VF is still down, and PF's bulletin board contains different MAC address, in this case, when VF's interface is brought up, it gets loaded with MAC address from bulletin board which is not desirable. To handle this corner case, we need a new TLV to request PF to update its bulletin board with suggested MAC. This request will be honored only for trusted VFs. Whenever firmware indicates that there's an async indication it needs to handle, there's a switch-case where the right functionality is called based on function's personality and information. Before iWARP is added [as yet another client], switch over the SPQ into a callback-registered mechanism, allowing registration of the relevant event-processing logic based on the function's personality. In order to increase the number of possible Tx connections [queues] employeed by VF past 16, we need to start using the doorbell bar if one such is exposed - VF would communicate this fact to PF which would return the size-bar internally configured into chip, according to which the VF would decide whether to actually utilize the doorbell bar. This adds the infrastructure for supporting VFs that want to open multiple transmission queues on the same queue-zone. At this point, there are no VFs that actually request this functionality, but later patches would remedy that. a. VF and PF would communicate the capability during ACQUIRE; Legacy VFs would continue on behaving as they do today b. PF would communicate number of supported CIDs to the VF and would enforce said limitation c. Until now we used to have a single VF legacy compatibility mode, one that affected the place of the Rx producers of those VFs [mostly]. As PF would soon support allocating CIDs for VFs instead of having a static CID<->queue configuration for them, we'll need to have an additional legacy mode since existing VFs would need to continue on using the older mode of operation. Change the infrastrucutre so that the legacy would be able to indicate which of the legacy behaviors is needed for a given VF.
