Manual fan speed control uses a standard interface and has received
sufficient testing and review by now, it can be enabled
unconditionally. This includes attributes pwm[1-8], pwm[1-8]_enable,
pwm[1-8]_mode and pwm[1-8]_freq.

We only let the user switch from automatic mode to manual mode, but
not the other way around, as automatic control settings may not have
been set properly by the BIOS.

On high CPU load the accumulating values in the running_avg_cap
register are very low (below 10), so averaging them too early leads
to unnecessary poor output resolution. Since we pretend to output
micro-Watt we better keep all the bits we have as long as possible.

The time has come to get a proper version number that we can change to
indicate new features etc, rather than the lock-step 0.0.XX that we
previously had.

libdrm has recognised this version as compatible with 0.0.16 since 2.4.22,
so hopefully any breakage people see should be very minimal.

All available subchannels are now available for userspace to do with as it
pleases on NVC0+.

On all earlier chipsets, the kernel still uses a software object on subc 0
to implement the page flip completion method.  I hope to find some decent
way of addressing this too, but it's a tad tricker prior to fermi.

I want to be able to use REF_CNT from other places in the kernel without
pushing a fence object onto the list of emitted fences.

The current code makes an assumption that every time the acked sequence is
bumped that there's at least one fence on the list that'll be signalled.

This will no longer be true in the near future.

There was once good reasons for wanting the drm to be able to use M2MF etc
on user channels, but they're not relevant anymore.  For the general
buffer move case, we've already lost by transferring between vram/sysmem
already so the context switching overhead is minimal in comparison.

The oom killer chooses not to kill a thread if:

 - an eligible thread has already been oom killed and has yet to exit,
   and

 - an eligible thread is exiting but has yet to free all its memory and
   is not the thread attempting to currently allocate memory.

SysRq+F manually invokes the global oom killer to kill a memory-hogging
task.  This is normally done as a last resort to free memory when no
progress is being made or to test the oom killer itself.

For both uses, we always want to kill a thread and never defer.  This
patch causes SysRq+F to always kill an eligible thread and can be used to
force a kill even if another oom killed thread has failed to exit.

We do the dss driver registration in a rather strange way: we have the
higher level omapdss driver, and we use that driver's probe function to
register the drivers for the rest of the dss devices.

There doesn't seem to be any reason for that, and additionally the
soon-to-be-merged patch "ARM: OMAP: omap_device: remove
omap_device_parent" will break omapdss initialization with the current
registration model.

This patch changes the registration for all drivers to happen at the
same place, in the init of the module.

sh_mipi uses some clocks, but the method of setup depends on CPU.

Current SuperH (like sh73a0) can control all of these clocks
by CPG (Clock Pulse Generator).
It means we can control it by clock framework only.
But on sh7372, it needs CPG settings AND sh_mipi PHYCTRL::PLLDS,
and only sh7372 has PHYCTRL::PLLDS.

But on current sh_mipi driver, PHYCTRL::PLLDS of sh7372 was
overwrote since the callback timing of clock setting was changed
by c2658b70
(fbdev: sh_mipi_dsi: fixup setup timing of sh_mipi_setup()).
To solve this issue, this patch adds extra .phyctrl.

This patch adds detail explanation for unclear mipi settings
and fixup wrong PHYCTRL::PLLDS value for ap4evb (0xb -> 0x6).
