txdata->enabled is used in order to determine if the TX vring is valid. As the data transmit is handled in a different context, in case txdata->enabled is set before vring->hwtail is updated, an old or corrupted vring->hwtail can be used. Protect setting of txdata->enabled and vring->hwtail to prevent a case where TX vring start handling TX packets before setting vring->hwtail. In case we fail to map one of the TSO SKB fragments, we need to clear all the mapped descriptors, from swhead to swhead+descs_used-1. Change the desc index calculation to i = (swhead + descs_used - 1) % vring->size; to prevent unmpping of (swhead + descs_used) descriptor that wasn't mapped. napi_synchronize is called before releasing the vring, with the assumption that setting txdata->enabled to 0 will prevent handling of this vring in the next scheduled napi. To guarantee this assumption, a memory barrier is added after disabling the txdata. In addition, as the ctx is zeroed in wil_tx_complete after this descriptor is handled (protected by wmb), ctx needs to be checked before releasing this descriptor in wil_vring_free. There are 2 possible race conditions, both are solved by addition of memory barrier: 1. wil_tx_complete reads the swhead to determine if the vring is empty. In case the swhead was updated before the descriptor update was performed in __wil_tx_vring/__wil_tx_vring_tso, the completion loop will not end and as the DU bit may still be set from a previous run, this skb can be handled as completed before it was sent, which will lead to double free of the same SKB. 2. __wil_tx_vring/__wil_tx_vring_tso calculate the number of available descriptors according to the swtail. In case the swtail is updated before memset of ctx to zero is completed, we can handle this descriptor while later on ctx is zeroed. Switch to auto-generated version of wmi.h which is maintained by FW team. This will allow better sync between teams in the future and avoid bugs because of unexpected API changes. The wmi.h will have many differences but most are cosmetic. It also includes these real differences: 1. is_go parameter added to BCON_CTRL and START_PCP commands. 2. max_rx_pl_per_desc added to CFG_RX_CHAIN command. 3. various small API updates that are not currently used by driver. wil_tx_vring locks the vring_tx_data lock before accessing the TX vring to check if it is enabled and valid for use. In case of quick disconnect / connect events for the same station, spin_lock(&txdata->lock) can be called during the lock initialization in the vring init function. To prevent such a race, the TX vrings spin lock should be initialized once during wil6210 driver initialization. In the current solution wil6210 configures the vring in a worker and holds only one pending CID. This implementation may lead to race conditions between connect and disconnect events of multiple stations or fast connect/disconnect events of the same station. In order to allow the removal of the connect worker and handling of WMI_VRING_CFG_DONE_EVENTID in the connect event, the WMI replies that provide the reply in a given buffer needs to be handled immediately in the WMI event interrupt thread. To prevent deadlocks, WMI replies that requires additional handling are still handled via the events list. On Rx, when invalid frame is received and dropped, reaping of next frames from Rx ring is stopped. This stops NAPI polling and re-enables the Rx interrupt. However, in cases where no more frames received, interrupt will not be triggered and rest of Rx frames will not be processed. Allow network stack part of Rx processing to run on separate core, relaxing CPU utilization on the core used for Rx NAPI. If RXHASH feature is enabled, the driver sets rxhash of each skb to 1 to enable RPS. The core for processing the rx skb is determined by RPS mechanism according to rx_cpus bit mask which is configured at user level. For processing skbs on different core from the core which processes the interrupts, it is recommended not to enable core 0 in rx_cpus bit mask. Driver report supported TSO (v4 & v6) and IP checksum offload in addition to previously supported features. In data path skbs are checked for non-zero gso_size, and when detected sent to additional function for processing TSO SKBs. Since HW does not fully support TSO, additional effort is required from the driver. Driver partitions the data into mss sized descriptors which are then DMAed to the HW. For the networking code and for hardware network accelerators, it is better to have IP header 4*n aligned. On the other side, DMA on Rx path require buffer to be aligned on 4*n as well. Having 14 bytes of Ethernet header, these 2 alignment requests are in contradiction. To solve this, order hardware offload block to not remove SNAP header. This adds extra 6 bytes between addresses and ethertype, making it 20 bytes total. This way, both buffer and IP header are 4*n aligned. Remaining is only to remove SNAP by shifting addresses 6 bytes. This involves data copying, so this feature should be disabled unless required by the platform. Module parameter "rx_align_2" (bool, default - false) introduced to control this feature. Feature is completely disabled when parameter is false. Signed-off-by: NVladimir Kondratiev <qca_vkondrat@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: NKalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>

In the reordering block, Ethernet DA was checked for MCAST, this is wrong. Check instead MCAST indication from 802.11 MAC header. Hardware saves this into Rx descriptor. Signed-off-by: NVladimir Kondratiev <qca_vkondrat@qca.qualcomm.com> Signed-off-by: NKalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
