For example:

Introduce ODP diagnostic counters and count the following
per MR within IB/mlx5 driver:
 1) Page faults:
	Total number of faulted pages.
 2) Page invalidations:
	Total number of pages invalidated by the OS during all
	invalidation events. The translations can be no longer
	valid due to either non-present pages or mapping changes.

Allows the IB device to provide a value of maximum scatter gather entries
per RDMA READ.

In certain cases it may be preferable for a device to perform UMR memory
registration rather than have many scatter entries in a single RDMA READ.
This provides a significant performance increase in devices capable of
using different memory registration schemes based on the number of scatter
gather entries. This general capability allows each device vendor to fine
tune when it is better to use memory registration.

The parameters npages used to initial mtt of srq->idx_que shouldn't be
same with srq's. And page_shift should be calculated from idx_buf_pg_sz.
This patch fixes above issues and use field named npage and page_shift
in hns_roce_buf instead of two temporary variables to let us use them
anywhere.

Broadcom's 575xx adapter series has support for SRIOV VFs.  Making changes
to enable SRIOV VF support. There are two major area where changes are
done:

 - Added new DB location for control-path and data-path DB ring

 - New devices do not need to issue the sriov-config slow-path command
   thus, skipping to call that firmware command.

For now enabling support for 64 RoCE VFs.

This is part a tree-wide conversion, as described in fc1d8e7c ("mm:
introduce put_user_page*(), placeholder versions").

This patch (of 3):

Provide more capable variation of put_user_pages_dirty_lock(), and delete
put_user_pages_dirty().  This is based on the following:

1.  Lots of call sites become simpler if a bool is passed into
   put_user_page*(), instead of making the call site choose which
   put_user_page*() variant to call.

2.  Christoph Hellwig's observation that set_page_dirty_lock() is
   usually correct, and set_page_dirty() is usually a bug, or at least
   questionable, within a put_user_page*() calling chain.

This leads to the following API choices:

    * put_user_pages_dirty_lock(page, npages, make_dirty)

    * There is no put_user_pages_dirty(). You have to
      hand code that, in the rare case that it's
      required.

The removal of 'buffer' in the patch below caused free_page() to use a
value that had been offset since the wqe pointer is adjusted while the
routine runs.

The current implementation of free_pages() rounds down to a pfn,
discarding the adjustment, but this is not the right way to use the
API. Preserve the initial value and use it for free_page().

There are two modes for mailbox command (cmd) queue, i.e., event mode and
poll mode. For each mode, we use corresponding semaphores to protect the
cmd queue resource competition, so called event_sem and poll_sem. During
cmd init, both semaphores are initialized and poll mode is selected.
Thus, there is no need to up poll_sema again in cmd_use_polling.

Furthermore, there is no need to down the sema of the other side while
switching mode. This patch aims to decouple the switch between event mode
and poll mode of cmd.

It's never a good idea to put a 1000-byte buffer on the kernel stack. The
compiler warns about this instance when usnic_ib_log_vf() gets inlined
into usnic_ib_pci_probe():

Move the device memory allocation and deallocation commands
SW ICM memory to mlx5_core to expose this API for all
mlx5_core users.

This comes as preparation for supporting SW steering in kernel
where it will be required to allocate and register device
memory for direct rule insertion.

In addition, an API to register this device memory for future
remote access operations is introduced using the create_mkey
commands.

If the hardware is resetting, the driver should not perform
the mailbox operation.Function-clear needs to add relevant judgment.

Sparse is whining about the u32 and __le32 mixed usage in the driver.
The roce_set_field() is used to __le32 data of hardware only.
If a variable is not delivered to the hardware, the __le32 type and
related operations are not required.
