To clearly state the intent of copying from linear sk_buffs, _offset being a overly long variant but interesting for the sake of saving some bytes. Signed-off-by: NArnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com>

For the common, open coded 'skb->mac.raw = skb->data' operation, so that we can later turn skb->mac.raw into a offset, reducing the size of struct sk_buff in 64bit land while possibly keeping it as a pointer on 32bit. This one touches just the most simple case, next will handle the slightly more "complex" cases. Signed-off-by: NArnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: NDavid S. There's a potential problem in isdn_ppp.c::isdn_ppp_decompress(). dev_alloc_skb() may fail and return NULL. If it does we will be passing a NULL skb_out to ipc->decompress() and may also end up dereferencing a NULL pointer at *proto = isdn_ppp_strip_proto(skb_out); Correct this by testing 'skb_out' against NULL early and bail out. Coverity found some static overruns in isdn_ppp.c (bug id #519) At several places slot is compared <0 and > ISDN_MAX_CHANNELS and then used to index ippp_table[ISDN_MAX_CHANNELS] A value of slot = ISDN_MAX_CHANNELS would run over the end of the array. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
