Originally the is_vf and is_netdev fields were added in order to
distinguish between VF and netdev filters in a single VSI. However, it
can be noted that we use separate VSI for SRIOV VFs and for netdev VSI.
Thus, since a single VSI should only ever have one type of filter, we
can simply remove the checks and remove the typing.

In a similar fashion, we can note that the only remaining way to get
multiple filters of a single type is through a debug command that was
added to debugfs. This command is useless in practice, and results in
causing bugs if we keep counter tracking but lose the is_vf and
is_netdev protections as desired above.

Since the only time we'd actually have a counter value besides 0 and
1 is through use of this debugfs hook, we can remove this unnecessary
command, and the entire counter logic it required.

We vastly simplify mac filters by removing

(a) the distinction between VF and netdev filters
(b) counting logic
(c) the ability to add and remove filters bypassing the stack via debugfs

Introduce new rtnl UAPI that exposes a list of vlans per VF, giving
the ability for user-space application to specify it for the VF, as an
option to support 802.1ad.
We adjusted IP Link tool to support this option.

For future use cases, the new UAPI supports multiple vlans. For now we
limit the list size to a single vlan in kernel.
Add IFLA_VF_VLAN_LIST in addition to IFLA_VF_VLAN to keep backward
compatibility with older versions of IP Link tool.

Add a vlan protocol parameter to the ndo_set_vf_vlan callback.
We kept 802.1Q as the drivers' default vlan protocol.
Suitable ip link tool command examples:
  Set vf vlan protocol 802.1ad:
    ip link set eth0 vf 1 vlan 100 proto 802.1ad
  Set vf to VST (802.1Q) mode:
    ip link set eth0 vf 1 vlan 100 proto 802.1Q
  Or by omitting the new parameter
    ip link set eth0 vf 1 vlan 100

This patch fixes an issue in the virt channel code, where a return
from i40e_find_vsi_from_id was not checked for NULL when applicable.
Without this patch, there is a risk for panic and static analysis
tools complain. This patch fixes the problem by adding the check
and adding an additional input check for similar reasons.

VF goes through reset path during VF creation which happens to also
have notification of VF reset to client. Adding conditional check to
avoid wrongly notifying VF reset during VF creation.

Also changing the call order of VF enable, calling it after VF creation
rather than before.

Now that VF RSS is configured by the PF driver, it needs to set the RSS
Hash Enable registers by default. Without this, no packets will be
hashed and they'll all end up on queue 0.

Now that all VSIs are configured to receive broadcasts as default, we
don't need to add a filter. This eliminates an annoying but harmless

If an untrusted VF attempts to configure promiscuous mode, log a message
pointing out its naughty behavior. But then, instead of returning an
error to the offender, just lie to it and say everything's OK. It will
continue on its way, thinking it's in promiscuous mode, but receiving no
packets except its own.

This patch adds priv-flag knob to configure global true promisc
support. With this patch the user can decide the flavor of
promiscuous that the VFs will see when promiscuous mode is enabled
on the interface. Since this a global setting for the whole device,
the priv-flag is exposed only on the first PF of the device.

The default is true promisc support is off, which means the promisc
mode for the VF will be limited/defport mode.

For the PF, we still will be in limited promisc unless in MFP mode
irrespective of the flavor picked through this knob.

Usage:
On PF0
ethtool --show-priv-flags p261p1
Private flags for p261p1:
MFP                    : off
LinkPolling            : off
flow-director-atr      : on
veb-stats              : off
hw-atr-eviction        : off
vf-true-promisc-support: off

to enable setting true promisc
ethtool --set-priv-flags p261p1 vf-true-promisc-support on

At this point if the VF is set to trust and promisc is enabled
on the VF through
ip link set ... promisc on
The VF/VFs will be able to see ALL ingress traffic

We have an uninitialized variable warning for valid_len for one case in
validate_vf_mesg. To fix this, just initialize it to 0 at the top of the
function and remove all of the now redundant assignments to 0 in the
individual cases.

If the VF is privileged/trusted it can do as it may please including
but not limited to hogging resources and playing unfair.
But if the VF is not privileged/trusted it still can add some number
(8) of MAC and VLAN addresses.
Other restrictions with respect to Port VLAN and normal VLAN still apply
to not privileged/trusted VF.

The VFs can request their queues to be set up into polling mode, rather
than interrupt mode, which works well for supporting things like DPDK,
but this should not be available when working in an multi-function
support device.

This patch adds hook to support changing a VF from not-trusted
to trusted and vice-versa. Fixed the wrappers and function prototype.
Changed the dmesg to reflex the current state better. This patch also
disables turning on/off trusted VF in MFP mode.

Clear the VFLR bit immediately after triggering a reset instead of
waiting until after cleanup is complete. Make sure to trigger a reset
every time, not just if the PF is up.

These changes fix a problem where VF resets would get lost by the PF,
preventing the VF driver from initializing.

If we reset a VF, its VSI goes away, and it gets a new one. So don't
hang on to the now-stale local VSI pointer. It just leads to suffering
and kernel panics.

Use the new AdminQ functions for safely accessing the Rx control
registers that may be affected by heavy small packet traffic.

We can't use AdminQ calls in i40e_clear_hw() because the HW is being
initialized and the AdminQ is not alive.  We recently added an AQ
related replacement for reading PFLAN_QALLOC, and this patch puts
back the original register read.

While re-enabling interrupts the driver would clear all pending
causes. This meant that if an interrupt was generated while the driver
was cleaning or polling with interrupts disabled, then that interrupt
was lost.  This could cause a queue to become dead, especially for
receive.  Refactored the enable_icr0 function in order to allow
it to be decided by the caller whether the CLEARPBA (clear pending
events) bit will be set while re-enabling the interrupt.

Also update copyright year in file headers.

When calculating TX bandwidth for VFs, we need to know the link speed to
make sure we don't allocate more bandwidth than is available. Add 20G
link speed to the switch statement so we can support devices that link
at that speed.

Allow the user to specify a zero MAC address for VFs. This removes the
existing MAC address and allows the VF to use a random address. Libvirt
