The intent was to set 4 bytes of data so that's why the sp_len is set to 4 on the next line. The cast to u_long pointer clears 8 bytes on 64 bit arches. Signed-off-by: NDan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: NDavid S. Miller <davem@tempietto.lan>

Adding casts of objects to the same type is unnecessary and confusing for a human reader. For example, this cast: int y; int *p = (int *)&y; I used the coccinelle script below to find and remove these unnecessary casts. I manually removed the conversions this script produces of casts with __force, __iomem and __user. @@ type T; T *p; @@ - (T *)p + p Signed-off-by: NJoe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: NDavid S. After moving the skfp driver, issues with the #include pathing to their locel headers was somehow exposed. Several headers had the incorrect path, so they were not able to be found during compile time. This patch fixes up the path issues to the local headers that need to be included. CC: "Maciej W.
