Introduce new helpers: - spi_populate_width_msg() - spi_populate_sync_msg() - spi_populate_ppr_msg() and use them in drivers which already enable the SPI transport. Signed-off-by: NMatthew Wilcox <matthew@wil.cx> Signed-off-by: NJames Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Wrap a highly common idiom. Makes the code easier to read, helps pave the way for sdev->{id,channel} removal, and adds a token that can easily by grepped-for in the future. There are a couple sdev_id() and scmd_printk() updates thrown in as well. Rejections fixed up and Signed-off-by: NJames Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Drivers need not implement a hook that returns FAILED, and does nothing else, since the SCSI midlayer code will do that for us. Signed-off-by: NJames Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

This driver has had it's own different infrastructure for doing this for ages, but it's time it used the common one. Signed-off-by: NJames Bottomley <James.Bottomley@SteelEye.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
