With some SDIO devices, timeout errors can happen when reading data.
To solve this issue, the DMA transfer has to be activated before sending
the command to the device. This order is incorrect in PDC mode. So we
have to take care if we are using DMA or PDC to know when to send the
MMC command.

Under function mmc_blk_issue_rq, after an MMC discard operation,
the MMC request data structure may be freed in memory. Later in
the same function, the check of req->cmd_flags & MMC_REQ_SPECIAL_MASK
is dangerous and invalid. It causes the MMC host not to be released
when it should.

This patch fixes the issue by marking the special request down before
the discard/flush operation.

Current code will clear all turning related bits like ESDHC_STD_TUNING_EN
and ESDHC_MIX_CTRL_FBCLK_SEL when clear SDHCI_CTRL_EXEC_TUNING.
This may cause the card which has already passed the turning to become
unwork since the turning status lost.
We observed this failure when enable runtime pm.

BTW, imx needs to enable ESDHC_MIX_CTRL_FBCLK_SEL bit for turned clock.
The FBCLK_SEL will be cleared when SDHCI_CTRL_TUNED_CLK is cleared
and SDHCI_CTRL_EXEC_TUNING is not set.
This is used in case we change to another normal card from a UHS card
in the same slot. FBCLK_SEL is not needed for normal card.

After that, SDHCI_CTRL_EXEC_TUNING will only affect ESDHC_MIX_CTRL_EXE_TUNE.
Clearing it does not affect the turned card to remain working on UHS mode.

The MMC_CAP_UHS_DDR50 must work on 1.8v.
However, the eMMC DDR mode can work on either 1.8v or 3.3v and
should not depend on UHS_DDR50.
So get rid of this limitation to let controller without 1.8v
signal voltage support can also work for eMMC DDR mode if it claims.

Follow-up to commit 294d31e8 ("sony-laptop: don't change keyboard
backlight settings"): avoid messing up the state on resume.  Leave it to
what was before suspending as it's anyway likely that we still don't
know what value we should write to the EC registers.  This fix is also
required in 3.12

Make sure RTC-interrupts are disabled at shutdown.

As the RTC is generally powered by backup power (VDDBU), its interrupts
are not disabled on wake-up, user, watchdog or software reset.  This
could cause troubles on other systems (e.g.  older kernels) if an
interrupt occurs before a handler has been installed at next boot.

Let us be well-behaved and disable them on clean shutdowns at least (as
do the RTT-based rtc-at91sam9 driver).

tried to use device_create, however that led to the regression where dev->type
wasn't getting set correctly. First attempt at fixing it would have led to
a race, so this undoes the device_createa work and does it all manually

This patch releases a vma object when cleaning up userptr resources.
A new vma object was allocated and copied when getting userptr pages
so the new vma object should be freed properly if the userptr pages
aren't used anymore.

In iSCSI negotiations with initiator CHAP enabled, usernames with
trailing garbage are permitted, because the string comparison only
checks the strlen of the configured username.

e.g. "usernameXXXXX" will be permitted to match "username".

Just check one more byte so the trailing null char is also matched.

extract_param() is called with max_length set to the total size of the
output buffer.  It's not safe to allow a parameter length equal to the

The transaction task here is hp_sdc_tasklet() and it releases the lock.
The problem is if we aren't able to queue the transaction then we need
to release the lock ourselves.

This patch now always passes msg->msg_namelen as 0. recvmsg handlers must
set msg_namelen to the proper size <= sizeof(struct sockaddr_storage)
to return msg_name to the user.

This prevents numerous uninitialized memory leaks we had in the
recvmsg handlers and makes it harder for new code to accidentally leak
uninitialized memory.

Optimize for the case recvfrom is called with NULL as address. We don't
need to copy the address at all, so set it to NULL before invoking the
recvmsg handler. We can do so, because all the recvmsg handlers must
cope with the case a plain read() is called on them. read() also sets
msg_name to NULL.

Also document these changes in include/linux/net.h as suggested by David
Miller.

Changes since RFC:

Set msg->msg_name = NULL if user specified a NULL in msg_name but had a
non-null msg_namelen in verify_iovec/verify_compat_iovec. This doesn't
affect sendto as it would bail out earlier while trying to copy-in the
address. It also more naturally reflects the logic by the callers of
verify_iovec.

With this change in place I could remove "
if (!uaddr || msg_sys->msg_namelen == 0)
	msg->msg_name = NULL
".

This change does not alter the user visible error logic as we ignore
msg_namelen as long as msg_name is NULL.

Also remove two unnecessary curly brackets in ___sys_recvmsg and change
comments to netdev style.

This patch adds support for ipc command interrupt mode.
Also added platform data option to select 'irq_mode'

irq_mode = 1: configure the driver to receive IOC interrupt
for each successful ipc_command.

irq_mode = 0: makes driver use polling method to
track the command completion status.

It makes sense to split out the Chromebook/Chromebox hardware platform
drivers to a separate subdirectory, since some of it will be shared
between ARM and x86.

This moves over the existing chromeos_laptop driver without making
any other changes, and adds appropriate Kconfig entries for the new
directory. It also adds a MAINTAINERS entry for the new subdir.

Some HP BIOS has dummy WMI 0x05 cmd and it causes wireless set cmd to fail.
This patch fixes the problem by detecting "2009 BIOS or later" flag which
determines whether WMI 0x1b is supported and is used to replace WMI 0x05.
