* DT binding for arc-uart * With alll the bits in place we can now use DT probing. Note that there's a bit of kludge right now because earlyprintk portion of driver can't use the DT infrastrcuture to get resoures/plat_data. This requires some infrastructre changes to of_flat_ framework Signed-off-by: NVineet Gupta <vgupta@synopsys.com> Cc: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Cc: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Cc: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Cc: devicetree-discuss@lists.ozlabs.org Cc: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com> Cc: Rob Landley <rob@landley.net> Acked-by: NArnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: NGreg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

Only we meet the following conditions, we can enable the DMA support for auart: (1) We enable the DMA support in the dts file, such as arch/arm/boot/dts/imx28.dtsi. (2) We enable the hardware flow control. (3) We use the mx28, not the mx23. Due to hardware bug(see errata: 2836), we can not add the DMA support to mx23. Bindings for gpio, interrupt controller, power management controller, timer, realtime clock, serial uart, ehci and uhci controllers and framebuffer controllers used on the arch-vt8500 platform. Framebuffer binding also specifies a 'display' node which is required for determining the lcd panel data. Signed-off-by: NTony Prisk <linux@prisktech.co.nz>

The loopback test mode is not implemented in all NS16550 compatible UARTs. The 8250 driver uses the UPF_SKIP_TEST flag to indicate this, however it is not possible to set this flag via device-tree. Add a new 'no-loopback-test' property, and modify the of_serial driver to set the UPF_SKIP_TEST flag if the property is present. The Synopsys DesignWare 8250 is an 8250 that has an extra interrupt that gets raised when writing to the LCR when busy. To handle this we need special serial_out, serial_in and handle_irq methods. Add a new platform driver that uses these accessors. Support the DesignWare 8250 by a new compatible string and registering the DesignWare helpers. Some platforms e.g. TI Davinci require 32-bit accesses to the UARTs. The of_serial driver currently registers all UARTs as UPIO_MEM. Add a new attribute "reg-io-width" to allow the port to be registered with different IO width requirements.
