466e69b8 dropped busmaster enable from the global drm code and moved it to the individual drivers, but missed the savage driver. So, this re-adds busmaster enable to the savage driver, fixing the regression. The reclaim_buffers function of the savage driver actually wants to run with the hw_lock held - at least there are printks in the call-chain to that effect. But the drm core only calls reclaim_buffers as used by savage _after_ forcefully dropping the hwlock (in case it's still hold by the closing fd). So do the same idlelock dance as for the other dma drivers and hope that papers over any issues. v2: Don't let the idlelock linger around. With the current screwed but its ABI, ioctls for the drm, Linus pointed out that we could allow userspace to specify the allocation size, but we pass it to the driver which then uses it blindly to store a struct. Now if userspace specifies the allocation size as smaller than the driver needs, the driver can possibly overwrite memory. This patch restructures the driver ioctls so we store the structure size we are expecting, and make sure we allocate at least that size. The copy from/to userspace are still restricted to the size the user specifies, this allows ioctl structs to grow on both sides of the equation. Up until now we didn't really use the DRM_IOCTL defines in the kernel, so this cleans them up and adds them for nouveau. v2: fix nouveau pushbuf arg (thanks to Ben for pointing it out) Reported-by: NLinus Torvalds <torvalds@linuxfoundation.org> Signed-off-by: NDave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

The DRM uses its own wrappers to obtain resources from PCI devices, which currently convert the resource_size_t into an unsigned long. This is broken on 32-bit platforms with >32-bit physical address space. This fixes them, along with a few occurences of unsigned long used to store such a resource in drivers. With the coming of kernel based modesetting and the memory manager stuff, the everything in one directory approach was getting very ugly and starting to be unmanageable. This restructures the drm along the lines of other kernel components. It creates a drivers/gpu/drm directory and moves the hw drivers into subdirectores. It moves the includes into an include/drm, and sets up the unifdef for the userspace headers we should be exporting. Signed-off-by: NDave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>

As a fallout, replace filp storage with file_priv storage for "unique identifier of a client" all over the DRM. There is a 1:1 mapping, so this should be a noop. This could be a minor performance improvement, as everyth on Linux dereferenced filp to get file_priv anyway, while only the mmap ioct went the other direction. Rename the driver hooks in the DRM to something a little more understandable: preinit -> load postinit -> (removed) presetup -> firstopen postsetup -> (removed) open_helper -> open prerelease -> preclose free_filp_priv -> postclose pretakedown -> lastclose postcleanup -> unload release -> reclaim_buffers_locked version -> (removed) postinit and version were replaced with generic code in the Linux DRM (drivers now set their version numbers and description in the driver structure, like on BSD). postsetup wasn't used at all. Fixes the savage hooks for initializing and tearing down mappings at the right times. Testing involved at least starting X, running glxgears, killing glxgears, exiting X, and repeating.
