Make PCI Device ID Tables be "const" to move them out of the data segment and remove a redundant check on CH_PCI_DEVICE_ID_TABLE_DEFINE_BEGIN in t4_pci_id_tbl.h to guard the contents of the include file. Provide a file creation function that also takes an initial size so that the caller doesn't have to set i_size, thus meaning that we don't have to call deal with ->d_inode in the callers. Signed-off-by: NDavid Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: NAl Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>

We found a subtle issue with FCoE on T4 very late in the game and decided not to productize FCoE on T4 and therefore there are no customers that will be impacted by this change. Hence T4 FCoE support is removed. FCoE supported only on T5 cards. changes in v2: - Make the commit message more clearer. Add a new file t4_pci_id_tbl.h that contains T4/T5 PCI ID Table so that for all drivers that uses T4/T5 PCI functions changes can be done in one place. checkpatch.pl script reports following error, which if tried to fix ends up in compilation error. Various patches have ended up changing the style of the symbolic macros/register to different style. As a result, the current kernel.org files are a mix of different macro styles. Since this macro/register defines is used by different drivers a few patch series have ended up adding duplicate macro/register define entries with different styles. This makes these register define/macro files a complete mess and we want to make them clean and consistent. This patch cleans up a part of it. We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/): // <smpl> @@ identifier i; declarer name DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE; initializer z; @@ - DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE(i) + const struct pci_device_id i[] = z; // </smpl> [bhelgaas: add semantic patch] Signed-off-by: NBenoit Taine <benoit.taine@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: NBjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>

Since commit 0998d063 (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound), the driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
