SiRFprimaII is the latest generation application processor from CSR’s multi-function SoC product family. The SoC support codes are in arch/arm/mach-prima2 from Linux mainline 3.0. There are three dedicated UARTs in system. This patch adds basic driver support for them. It has used the newest pinmux subsystem from Linus Walleij. This driver has been broken at least since 2008. At that time, a88487c7 (Fix compile errors in SGI console drivers) broke this driver completely. And since nobody noticed for the past 3 years, move it into staging. I think this will rot there and we will throw it away completely after some time. Or maybe someone will volunteer to fix it ;). This driver supports UART-DM HW on MSM platforms. It uses the on chip DMA to drive data transfers and has optional support for UART power management independent of Linux suspend/resume and wakeup from Rx. The driver was originally developed by Google. It is functionally equivalent to the version available at: http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=kernel/experimental.git the differences being: 1) Remove wakelocks and change unsupported DMA API. 2) Replace clock selection register codes by macros. 3) Fix checkpatch errors and add inline documentation. 4) Add runtime PM hooks for active power state transitions. 5) Handle error path and cleanup resources if required. This patch adds driver support for OMAP2/3/4 high speed UART. The driver is made separate from 8250 driver as we cannot over load 8250 driver with omap platform specific configuration for features like DMA, it makes easier to implement features like DMA and hardware flow control and software flow control configuration with this driver as required for the omap-platform. This is a PCI & UART driver, which suppors both PIO and DMA mode UART operation. It has 3 identical UART ports and one internal DMA controller. Current FW will export 4 pci devices for hsu: 3 uart ports and 1 dma controller, each has one IRQ line. And we need to discuss the device model, one PCI device covering whole HSU should be a better model, but there is a problem of how to export the 4 IRQs info Current driver set the highest baud rate to 2746800bps, which is easy to scale down to 115200/230400.... To suport higher baud rate, we need add special process, change DLAB/DLH/PS/DIV/MUL registers all together. 921600 is the highest baud rate that has been tested with Bluetooth modem connected to HSU port 0. Will test more when there is right BT firmware. This requires three changes: 1) Remove !SPARC restriction in Kconfig. 2) Move Sparc specific serial drivers before 8250, so that serial console devices don't change names on us, even if 8250 finds devices. 3) Since the Sparc specific serial drivers try to use the same major/minor device namespace as 8250, some coordination is necessary. Use the sunserial_*() layer routines to allocate minor number space within TTY_MAJOR when CONFIG_SPARC. This has no effect on other platforms.
