It is not possible to run the test suite with the ENABLE_TESTABILITY flag set to NO. It is also not recommended by Apple to set the ENABLE_TESTABILITY flag to YES for release builds. In order to still be able to run the optimized build of the framework against the test suite, the ReleaseTest configuration was created. It optimizes the framework as well as sets the ENABLE_TESTABILITY flag to YES. This allows the test suite to run on Travis-CI in the ReleaseTest configuration, and does not affect Carthage installation.

Disable testability for release config and disable tests for non-test builds.

In certificatesInBundle, check for well-formed certificates with extensiions .cer, .crt, .der, and check for upper and lower case extensions (OSX filesystem may or may not be case sensitive. iOS always is).

DER is a binary encoding format
PEM is an ASCII encoding format
.crt is the most common certificate extension, may be DER or PEM
.cer is a Microsoft extension convention, may be DER or PEM
.der is a (poor) extension referring to encoding instead of contents, these may contain a certificate and/or a key.
