# # @ohos.net.socket (Socket Connection) The **socket** module implements data transfer over TCPSocket, UDPSocket, WebSocket, and TLSSocket connections. > **NOTE** > > The initial APIs of this module are supported since API version 7. The port number can be specified or randomly allocated by the system.
