From 4e60b819e9500eaad975720bf68fce4a3e091120 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Marc Zyngier Date: Tue, 5 Jul 2022 17:51:37 +0800 Subject: [PATCH] PCI: xgene: Revert "PCI: xgene: Use inbound resources for setup" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit stable inclusion from stable-v5.10.110 commit cf342cbfb37ff0ee7d096367ec03c8f363788b43 bugzilla: https://gitee.com/openeuler/kernel/issues/I574AL Reference: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?id=cf342cbfb37ff0ee7d096367ec03c8f363788b43 -------------------------------- commit 1874b6d7ab1bdc900e8398026350313ac29caddb upstream. Commit 6dce5aa59e0b ("PCI: xgene: Use inbound resources for setup") killed PCIe on my XGene-1 box (a Mustang board). The machine itself is still alive, but half of its storage (over NVMe) is gone, and the NVMe driver just times out. Note that this machine boots with a device tree provided by the UEFI firmware (2016 vintage), which could well be non conformant with the spec, hence the breakage. With the patch reverted, the box boots 5.17-rc8 with flying colors.
